Messed up hands much less difficult to play than full size and sounds great

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend who has played professionally in the past. He said he loved the size and look of the guitar (as we had seen Paul Gilbert actually play one  a few weeks before in a local show). However, he said it would not stay in tune. He said he will take it in to get it set up and hopefully that will help. I hope so. The price is great for this handy little guitar but not if it won't stay in tune.
