Be at the forefront of guitar innovation with the Quest Standard Series Q52PB Electric Guitar in Antique Brown Stained. This headless guitar, part of Ibanez's revolutionary Q or Quest series, is not just a reimagining of an existing instrument, but a ground-up development that pushes the boundaries of guitar design.
The Q52PB is a testament to Ibanez's commitment to maximizing tone, performance, and playing comfort. It features custom-designed R1 single coil and Q58 humbucker pickups for a well-defined sound that balances all frequencies. The lows are powerful without being muddy, and the highs are bright and clear, but never harsh. This tonal balance, coupled with extremely low noise performance, makes these pickups ideal for both digital and analog effects.
The Q52PB also boasts a new Mono-Tune bridge and a proprietary custom string locking mechanism. The Mono-Tune bridges offer a wide intonation range, allowing for easy setup for tuning down a whole step or even further. The string height is also easily adjustable, and each saddle generally has less material, which leads to a more natural and organic tone.
The guitar's Wizard C 3pc Roasted Maple/Bubinga neck is designed to meet the demands of various playing styles. Its neutral shape is neither too thick, too thin, nor too flat. The 3pc Roasted Maple/Bubinga construction offers great stability and long-term durability.
The Q52PB's fretboard is made of heat-treated Roasted Birdseye Maple, giving the model an exotic appearance and providing a balanced attack and rich sustain. The Jescar EVO Gold frets are known for their bright tone, gorgeous appearance, and features such as long-lasting durability and smooth note bending.
The body of the Q52PB is made of Nyatoh, providing a rich mid-low end, and is topped with Quilted Maple, which sonically enriches the response for picking. The body also features a number of strategically placed curves on both the top and back of the instrument, providing maximum playing comfort. Despite its compact and lightweight design, its non-chambered, solid body provides great sound with rich woody tones.
The Q52PB also comes with a dyna-MIX10 switching system with an Alter Switch, offering ten sound variations and the ability to easily switch from humbucker and single coil modes with the mini switch. The power Tap mode provides a realistic single coil sound despite its two humbucker pickup layout.
The guitar comes with an Ibanez gig bag designed specifically to fit and protect this instrument.
With the Quest Standard Series Q52PB Electric Guitar, Ibanez invites guitarists of every background to explore the full scope of their creative possibilities, regardless of genre. This series offers a diverse and versatile feature set that will attract not only the modern, technical guitarist, but also players who may have never even considered a headless guitar before.
