The result is a series of unique instruments, each designed to meet the specific needs of different players.The SRD905F features a 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck that offers tonal clarity and superior attack. Its Panga Panga fretboard, renowned for its beautiful wood grain, produces a tight low and mid-range, along with a sharp attack on the high end. The Exotic Maple top and Okoume body not only display a beautiful wood grain but also provide a bright and solid sound.The SRD905F is equipped with Nordstrand "Big Break" pickups, which pack a powerful split coil into a soapbar-style pickup. This design delivers a full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal texture while maintaining the clarity characteristic of single coil tone with noiseless performance. The custom bridge incorporates the magic of the AeroSilk Piezo system, adding that sense of "air" that characterizes the sound of an upright bass.The Ibanez 2-band EQ with Piezo active tone control seamlessly integrates the controls of the magnetic pickup(s) with the AeroSilk Piezo system. The controls include a Master volume, bass, and treble controls for the pickup(s), and a Master volume and a tone control for the Piezo system. The AeroSilk MR5 bridge features unique saddles specifically designed to work in harmony with the piezo pickups, enhancing the acoustic "Upright" quality of the tone.For those performing on dark stages, the luminescent side dot position marks make it easy to see fretboard position marks.
