The heart of this electric bass guitar lies in its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body, and perfectly matched electronics, all designed to cater to a wide range of players and budgets. The guitar features a 5-piece SR Maple/Bubinga through-neck, meticulously crafted to enhance sustain and deliver superior tonal quality.
The SR Workshop SRF706 is equipped with the Ibanez-exclusive AeroSilk Piezo pickup system, featuring recessed controls on the back of the guitar. These controls are assigned to each individual string, allowing for precise volume control and perfect string balance. This feature ensures optimal response and balance, even when accommodating different string gauges.
The custom bridge of the SRF706 is specifically designed for the AeroSilk Piezo system. It features unique plastic saddles that work in harmony with the piezo pickups, enhancing the acoustic "stand-up" quality of the sound.
The guitar is fitted with Bartolini MK1 pickups, split coil designs that provide a wide frequency range and enhanced definition for maximum accuracy. These pickups deliver equal response, akin to traditional single coils, but without the hum and noise.
The EQ section of the SRF706 integrates the controls of the Bartolini pickups with the AeroSilk Piezo system.
