Works great and such a great price point
The only "issue" I had was the M9 battery meter would not properly show the battery capacity until the battery was completely drained IN the camera and then recharged. This is a "normal" thing according to the Leica forum I read.

Bad copy or bad product?
Bought this in April and used it less than 10 time and the battery doesn't recharge anymore.

Adorama Replacement Battery Leica BM8
This is a much better battery than the cheapo replacements for you find in auction sites for less, those shipped from some obscure warehouse in HK or China. I bought this one as a second battery to carry for my M8. It is well worth the price, I have not seen any capacity difference to the original Leica Battery No 14464, so why would one pay much more for the original?There is only possible reason why you might want to consider the original: The 'real' Leica battery fits perfect into the M8 body (little surprise here) while the Flashpoint(?) brand replacement fits a little too tight, but I am happy to put up with this.

Can't see any Difference
I have not been able to see any difference between the factory Leica battery and this after market version.

Rechargeable, not!
Thought I would try this battery, costing less than half of Leica's. Arrived with 2/3rds of a charge. Once drained it never takes a charge at all though the charger indicates it does. Bogus product!
