I needed a backup battery for my Canon SX50. This battery was perfect for my needs. It does not last as long as the Canon battery but it costs $30 less and works just fine.

Honestly, you're looking at this battery because the price is right. You don't want to pay 3 times as much for the factory battery and I didn't either. This is not the first Adorama battery I've purchase and it won't be the last. I have had zero problems with any of them including this one. The one common complaint with these batteries is that you don't seem to get as many shots out of them as you do a factory battery. That has been the case for me as well but I usually only get about 10% less. I got roughly 300 on the factory battery and about 270 on the Adorama battery. That's hardly a cause for concern for me. I've used a couple of these in a DSLR for a few years and they're still going strong. I'd give them 5 stars if they were a shot for shot battery. I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. As it is, I would not hesitate to buy an Adorama battery for any camera I own.

This is a much less costly and equally good replacement for the Canon lithium battery. This is not the first time I have used Adorama's brand and I have always been satisfied.

I ordered several of these batteries to carry in my bag and find them very handy when out. They charge quickly and seem to hold the charge pretty well. Maybe not as long as Canon batteries, but that's why I ordered several. I use "live view" always on my Canon SX50 so batteries go pretty quick anyway and I almost always have to change them when on an outing no matter which kind I use. Over all I'm glad I have them and would recommend them to others.

Went to the zoo, took about 300 pictures when it finally died. Not bad! And it charges extra fast, you don't have to wait all day. Highly recommended.
