The price was so much less than the name brand! I could have bought 10 of these batteries for the price of one Pentax. Packaging was also better. The Pentax come with a contact cover. These came with a box to contain the batter fully covered keeping it clean and no chance of being shorted.

Even after four attempts battery would not take a full charge and was only good for about 10 photos.

Every bit as good as the original Pentax batteries for much less $. I've used these over and over (and over) for nearly a year without any issues. Very good buy. A+

I picked up a couple of these batteries last fall as backups for a photo trip to Albuquerque. [*].Let me put it simply: you get what you pay for. These cost about 1/3 the price of an OEM battery from Pentax or Samsung, and they last about 1/3 the time an OEM battery does. These are supposedly 1500mAh, but I got at most 150-200 shots out of one of these brand new compared to about 500 with the 2 year old battery I got with the camera when I bought it. They do in a pinch, but if you have some heavy shooting to do, don't be surprised to find yourself swapping batteries a lot more often.I wanted to like these more, but you would be better off paying the full price for an OEM battery and not have to change it as often.

I bought this battery for use with my Pentax K20D camera as a backup. It works perfectly. I haven't used it enough to comment on how many exposures I get vs the OEM battery, however at it's price any more than a couple of hundred and it would be well worth it's purchase. This replacement battery certainly seems to be able to accomplish that. The only problem I've had so far is that it's a bit fiddly when used with the Pentax B-DC50 charger. It needs a little jiggle to get it to begin charging and must be left undisturbed for it to finish it's charging cycle. I suspect that the interlock on the charger doesn't make exact contact with the battery shell. On the other hand this battery fits the camera as well or better than the OEM battery.

My recently purchased Pentax K20D came with a battery, but of course anyone who takes lots of photos wants a back-up. The price of the Pentax battery was around 3 times the cost of the battery from Adorama[...] As far as I can tell, it works the same as the original.

Unlike some other 3rd-party alternatives, this one fits in and pops out of K20D battery compartment easily. Construction appears to be on par with OEM, DLI50, however, battery-life is not -- fast recharge usually means reduced capacity. Good as a backup; buy two or three if replacing the OEM. Attractively priced[...] gets it four starts.

Needed a second battery for an extended bicycle trip without access to electricity. This battery was perfect — the price is right, and it actually outlasted the OEM battery.

Not having a backup battery in the field is like not having enough memory for the next shot. It is a must have.

I used this battery for a wedding and it lasted for almost 300 photos . Much better than I'd expected . I consider the battery a great buy and would recommend it to anyone . Especially those like me looking for a bargain .

Batteries are reasonably priced and hold their charge. What more can one ask?

While after-market generics can be occasionally suspect, Adorama depends on its' reputation as a supplier of quality products. Batteries are simple; they work or they don't. For the price, I can keep 3 on hand in addition to the original that came with this camera body.

Have used these several times and have not let me down like some cheaper batteries out there. I rejected any batteries that did not have gold connectors, the last cheap ones I bought would not hold a charge has silver looking connectors.

Equal to brand name battery at less than half the cost.

Cheap alternative to the Pentax original, but kudos to Pentax for creating a battery with a lower mA/h rating that really lasts longer. I mean really.

When your out there shooting, especially now a days with the digital cameras. My compact flash card holds up to 4gb of photos. Even at a high quality setting, I still can take over 1100 pics. There's nothing worse than getting into your subject matter and have your battery give out on you. I had a hard time trying to find an extra battery for my Konica Minota, since they sold out to Sony. But I knew that you guys were the source that I could count on. Thanks for having such a wide variety of stuff that I really need. I'm going to try my hand in Stock Photography and will be ordering more equipment that I will need to succeed. Marlene Stewart

The Pentax D-LI50 is a 1620mAh battery. Please note this is actually a 1700mAh "Flashpoint" brand battery which work exactly the same.

The Pentax Brand lasted 3 days while this one lasted only 1. I would rather spend more to get one that lasts.

There's no need to spend the high cost for Minolta's proprietary batteries (if you can find them), when Adorama has ones that work just as good, and are much less expensive.

The Minolta 5d is a very good camera much in line with the XD-11. The battery adds to the enjoyment of my fine camera
