The old one gave up the ghost (intermittant battery contacts)

so I bot a new one. Versatile and useful little device. I have spare batteries and rotate them from cam to charger and back to the cam. I always have at least 2 fresh batteries on hand for those times I am away from power sources. It is also more convenient to charge the batteries outside the cam. That way the cam is never out of service.

They cheapened it from the older one I have

My older charger quit so I bot another one. Much more convenient than charging the batteries in cam, and I have 3 batts so I can just change them out on a trip, not to mention that the charger can work world wide and from 12 volts in the vehicle, too if needed. Very useful design. The new one is, well, cheap compared to the original one (about 4 years old now) It uses an adapter plate for the batteries, so is more universal for them, but the swing out plug is way cheap. Note that this charger is $ whereas the original was $ I would rather pay the original price and have something more robust like the original. Well, time will tell.

Gets the job done just fine

This clever little device replaces the charger that I got with my Nikon D7000, and which I had lost - better than losing the camera. It works without any problems. Its size is about the same as the original and it takes as long to recharge the battery. I can't think of anything that is missing. I was getting ready to leave on a trip when I discovered the loss and Adorama got it to me in the promised 3 days.
