Compact charger with 12 volt auto adapter
Adorama's Premium Tech PT-59 is a reasonably fast economy priced charger for Sony cameras with a 12 volt auto adapter. 5 stars because it charges just as fast & costs 1/5 as much as the Sony does. However the Sony BC-VW1 charger holds the battery more securely. I have 2 of them because Sony batteries need recharging often, especially with RX-10 cameras.

Adorama PT-59 AC/DC Rapid Battery Charger for Sony NP-FW50
It was very important to me as a photographer, constantly on the road, to have a charger for both 12v and 110v. So far the products as worked as described, both charging from my 12v power station and the hotel room when available. just realize, whether your using this charger or the manufactures, it takes a few hours to completely charge.

Ruggedly built and clever
I worried when I ordered two of these that they might be junk. Instead I got a design that is rugged and clever. The tray for my Sony batteries firmly locks into the universal unit. There is an attachment so I can charge in the car. A wall plug is built in. Overall innovative and inexpensive. I was pleasantly surprised.

Worth the $$!
This little charger works great. I would say buy it for the price. I use it all the time when I'm on a shoot. As we all know, the Sony battery does not last to long.

an improvement over in-camera battery charging
Rather than having your camera plugged into a 5V USB transformer to charge the battery, get this thing. That way, you don't have to have your camera plugged into a wall. It is easy to use and takes about 2.5hrs to charge the battery for my Sony a7ii.

Reliability and Backup
The last thing you need to have happen is the battery go dead in the middle of an important family photo opportunity. The addition of this additional battery and charger means I will never have to wait for a battery to recharge.

I'm not experiencing the quick charging everyone else has touted, but it's not a feature I'm after anyhow. This charger works perfectly well with both brand and off-brand batteries, and is very reliable.

It was not expensive and it is so handy
I read some reviews on this battery charger and they stated that it got very hot when charging. I have not had any problem at all with it getting hot. It works like a charm. It was not expensive and it is so handy.

Reliable and simple
This battery charger allows the battery to be charged outside of the camera, which is much more practical than doing so via the camera's integral charging system and allows the use of a second battery.

Great little battery charger
Was very disappointed with Sony when I found out I had to plug my new Sony A6000 into a wall outlet to recharge the battery. I immediately ordered this little charger. I have used it three times and it has worked great. It also includes a car adaptor. Only time will tell if it is really robust but at the moment it is great. Very solid and the price can't be beat.

A Real Rapid Charger
Charging the Sony a6000 battery via the camera took over 5 hours. The manual says it can take 310 minutes. The charger did the job in less tham 2 hours. This is a no-brainer.

Works great
Although I love the Sony A7, have the need to plug the camera in to Recharge it was very annoying. Now I can charge multiple batteries and keep shooting.

Excellent Product
excellent for my NEX6---i love the camera but not coming with an external charger was a bit of a downside. This fills the bill.It is inexpensive and does work well . It charges rapidly and so for the batteries have not shown any loss of power when out of the camera or when the camera is not being used.

Inexpensive Battery Charger For Sony NEX
I bought this charger and two replacement batteries for my Sony NEX-F3. The camera only comes with a cord to charge the battery while it is in the camera, which makes it difficult to charge a second battery.
The charger and batteries work perfectly and are much less expensive than the equivalent Sony products.
Adorama's shipping was as prompt and reliable as ever.
