Shopper : need a nice camera case and a gadget to put memory card in to attach to computer?GEORGE M : The Case Logic TBC302 is a very nice case for this small camera. Just the right size and has a metal clip for belt/belt loop and a zippered compartment for spare battery and/or memory card(s). Comes in various colors. As for as the "gadget to put memory card in to attach to computer", any good USB card reader will do. Depends on if your using a PC with USB2 or USB3 (newest). Most laptops come with SD card readers built-in.
Shopper : What kind of battery does this take and how does it need recharging?GEORGE M : The battery is an NB-11L and the camera comes with the battery and a charger. I you mean how often does it need re-charging, it depends on your use. If you use the LCD to view each picture after taking it uses more battery of course. I purchased a spare battery with my camera and keep both charged but the battery last a long time between charges. In fact, some time I charge the one in my camera just in case?? I am satisfied with mine.STEVEN L : It's a custom lithium ion battery from Canon, their part number NB-11L. It is charged using a charger provided with the camera. The charger plugs into the wall.SRINIKETH N : It takes small lithium battery that comes with camera. There is a small charger that comes with the kit. Battery life is very good. For few days to a week.JAMES L : The camera only takes a Canon 3.6v battery NB11L or Adorama equivalent. The charger comes with the camera. Both are small and easy to use and carry. WAH FU M : Comes with a charger and a lithium battery.
Shopper : can you charge the battery in the camera?WAH FU M : No. You need to remove the battery to charge. This is easier if you get extra back up battery.ANDREW R : Unfortunately no, the battery must be charged in the included charger.

Great Pocket Camera

I use this as my grab and go for shooting prople and interest filler shots at events and such. The construction is on par with more expensive Point & Shoot models and the size is perfect. The colors are excellent as is usually the case with Canon cameras in general. I get really good photos with the A2400 most of the time and battery life has been good for me with the A2400 I own. The down side to cameras this small is the camera body movement involved when you click off a shot. This comes up more in lower light situations where you're trying to grab a shot without a flash. If the subject is not moving let the 2-second timer be your friend!! The A2400 doesn't do great in low light situations but for the price Adorama sells these for, who cares!!

Efficient, User-friendly, and affordable

This product was purchased for use in photodocumentation. Majority of photos are still shots. Zoom is not used much but does seem of good quality. It is compact, attractive, and was very affordable for the quality.

Picture view button is quite convenient. You push only the one button and it turns the camera on and displays the stored pictures.
