A camera without a battery grip just doesn't feel right in my hands. This is always a must-have for me. The ability to switch into a portrait orientation and have a trigger in the same place is huge. I recently switched to mirrorless and don't have a grip for my R6 yet.... and I can definitely tell it hinders my workflow and makes me fumble a little without the grip.

This battery grip is such a bonus for my 6D Mark II. I never have to worry about running low on power during a wedding shoot or a long day shooting landscape and wildlife photography.

I have always used battery grips. They make handling the camera easier due to the additional shutter button, AF and control wheels. I have tried other after market grips but they don't compare to the quality of the Canon OEM grips.

Nice grip, great for extra battery life. Does add some bulk and weight to the camera, but worth it if you need the extra shooting time. Goes on and off easily.

Works well but never used. Trend now days is to reduce weight. Sure the batteries last longer and if I were only working from tripods I might consider using my battery grips. But my studio time is only about 30% of my business and the rest are events, I tend to go with lighter set ups.

Canon quality. Your camera will have power for days! This camera and my 80D both last so long. With this grip it seems like endless power and vertical shots are so easy without looking like a contortionist.

This is really nice to have for the camera gives me lots of use before having to charge. I keep this on my camera always when shooting now and never have to change when I'm out shooting.

This battery grip, like all such accessories, provides a better grip when shooting horizontally, and the vertical grip offers more stability and less fatigue when shooting vertically. That you can also insert two batteries instead of just one means you can go a whole day, even several days, without having to change batteries, even with pretty heavy use. My only issue with it, and it's minor, is that the secondary shutter button for the vertical grip is a bit stiff and has a bit more travel than the body's main shutter release, so it can take some getting used to, especially when shooting a lot of action where you need serious responsiveness from the shutter. Other than this minor issue, it does everything else a battery grip for this particular camera should, and it's not a bad price, all other things considered.

With the heavier lenses attached the Canon Battery Grip makes it very easy to manage the camera. Also for vertical camera position the camera become easier to handle.

This came with a package deal and I’m very happy with the fact that it works with one battery in the grip and it is very light. The group is also larger and I have big hands so it makes the camera fit more comfortably with me shooting a vertical and horizontal

I’ve had cheaper grips in the past for my 70D and I will say I’m glad I got this with my 6D mark II as part of the holiday bundle. It feels great in my hand and doesn’t feel plasticy cheap like some others I’ve had. You get what you pay for here.

I received this in a bundle package with my 6Dii on a black friday deal but just recently tried to use it. It provides better ergonomics when shooting in portrait however my grip causes my camera to randomly lock up. Didnt expect this from a genuine canon grip but i think its too late to return it.

You should not be working a camera without a batter grip!!! Over half of our pictures are in Portraiture mode. Don't hurt your wrist and forearm, get the battery grip. Bonus.. they extended battery life!!!

This is great if you need extended battery life, since it holds two batteries, for longer event such as wedding, etc. Or if you want the extra shutter button while shooting vertical. It does add some weight and bulk, but benefits may outweigh this for some.

This grip is a Must for all my Canon SLR bodies . This Grip was my latest Purchase for the Canon 6D Mk ii I have used this style of vertical grip for all my Canon SLR cameras. To me , its a must to have. Yes , it adds a little bit of weight but also battery life. If you don't own one . I Really recommend you try one for your SLR. Its a natural feel when shooting Vertical .

I am a commercial photographer who often spends 8+ hours shooting in a day. This holds up incredibly well under the rigors of shooting the battery life lasts well past any shoot I've yet to have. The grip fits well in the hand and is an easy transition from the standard controls to the ones on the grip. I highly recommend this grip.
