Maureen J : How well did it work? Were you happy with it? Did it last?MARK B : Didn't answer other parts of your question. Sorry! I am very happy with it. I use the 226 in an MG8120 printer. How long this (or any other color) lasts really depends on the quality settings of the printer and the size of the paper you are printing on. If you are printing on 8.5" x 11" platinum paper and have the photo quality setting on vivid, high quality, and have lots of yellow and other colors that use yellow, no, it won't last very long. None of them will. However, I've found out, you don't need those highest quality settings to print excellent photos. I use photo glossy II paper with the standard quality setting most of the time and the cartridge seems to last quite a while. Hope this helps. : )MARK B : The 226 ink tanks work great. It's much more cost effective to change only the color that runs out versus having to replace the whole color cartridge when only one color of the tank runs out. Just make sure your printer uses the 226 series ink cartridges.NANCY H : This ink tank worked well but like all the Canon ink tanks, they don't last long at all. It seems like every time I turn around I need to replace an ink cartridge.SCOTT P : Maureen, It worked just fine. Yikes yet another empty cartridge

Well yep but the photos look great. Grew up with B&W so not real keen on that but suppose this makes the color look better as well. Everyone used to say no aftermarket ink with Canon Printers and I have adhered to this.

Best Choice for Canon

Works consistently for Canon printers. I have tried other, non Canon ink cartridges with inconsistent results, causing me to discard them well before they have been used up. In my experience, non-Canon products may have lower initial costs, but prove not to be cost effective over the long term.

While satisfied with these quality inks, I did have to wait for quite a bit to receive. It took forever to get them to me. My first attempt at a review was denied. Being honest in my review did not meet the guideline. I will consider this when it is time for a new printer.

Four ink cartridges for a six cartridge printer?

The product is fine, it's a Canon ink well, and it's my expectation that it's going to work just fine. The reason I can't go five stars is because my printer uses six ink cartridges, and these are four of the six. It's darn near impossible to put together a package of six cartridges to order, so we end up with extras of one type and missing other types. Canon invented the printer. It seems that they could put together a package of the six cartridges that the printer they invented uses.
