PETER F : How many prints from one ink pack?GUADALUPE T : The answer to this question should be found on the Canon website. My answer is a really long one. As one person said, there are too many factors to weigh in and get an accurate answer. It would be very difficult and unprofitable for me to keep this kind of data. It would require a well-designed and very expensive database that could follow or track each photo paper size used, number of droplets of ink used, the inks the image content uses mostly, and other factors that would boggle my mind trying to cover all the angles. Then, there is the factor that I could miss inputting the usage data. My printer is set to allow Canon to collect usage data from my occassional use. My conclusion is that I am getting my money's worth. When I remove the printed photo off the printer, I am awed by how closely it matches what I have on the screen. So awed that I forget thinking of how many more photos I can get with what ink remains in any of the tanks. I am fully aware that if I were to print a dozen photos containing my beluh-ved Texas flag, I will be ordering a lot of ink tanks to make up for the high consumption of blue and red. A better route would be to order online those dozen photos of the Lone Star flag and save my Canon ink. Obviously, I am telling tall tales with this example. The better part of Canon inks is that printer nozzles clogging due to non-OEM ink could be minimized. I have had that happen with another printer and non-OEM inks. In the two years that I have had the Pro-100, that has not happened even after a month rolls by without printing anything. 125USD does not affect me adversely as I do not plunk down that amount as often as I thought I was going to. Hope you find a better reply.BRAD M : Of course it depends on what you are printing. I print mostly landscape images with lots of green. The yellow will always be on of the first to run out nature and landscape images or not. I would estimate approximately 30-40 8x12 inch prints and around 20-30 12x18 inch prints before one of the cartridges run out. Insanely expensive to print with Canon Printers

Insanely expensive, the Pro-100 is nearly unusable because of the cost of ink and paper. I purchased a new HP with the "eco" tanks and it is a fraction of the cost of any Canon. I found some after market inks, after trying several, that is indistinguishable from the OEM ink. Not sure about longevity but but it is 75% less money and the color matching is using Print Shop Pro is equivalent. I purchased this OEM for shooting and printing my daughters wedding. You can expect to get 25 prints of 8.5x11 before something runs out. crazy.

Disappointed that full sets of CLI-42 inks are not available

I was disappointed Canon does not have full sets of eight ink cartridges for my Pixma 100 printer. Having to buy individual CLI-42 in cartridges was both a waste of my time and of resources. Also I have not yet received the printer paper that was supposed to come with my purchase of several separate CLI-42 cartidges

Genuine Canon ink

Excellent quality ink that produces great prints. Only downside is its expensive and canon tends to have stocking issues. Miss the days of buying ink and getting better deals on free paper.

Canon replacement ink cartridge

Ink cartridge is same as the original. The cartridges could have been bigger containing more ink so that it will last longer printing more pages.
