I use Canon ink cartridges exclusively for photo printing.  They have been reliable over the eight years I’ve used them, with no failures.  They also haven’t shown any signs of fading or discoloration on prints hung with light exposure.  Quality counts for me!

What's not to like?

This is the recommended ink for my printer, so this is what I use.  Produces quality photos.

Works fine.  I never use generic ink, but Canon ink is awfully expensive regardless of where you purchase it.

Canon Ink Cartridge

I have a Canon Pro 9000 Mark II printer that I have been using for several years. The only ink I use are the Canon CLI inks. The colors are true and images sharp. I have probably printed over 1,000 images in sizes from 4x6 to 13x19.

True Color

The Canon inks in my Pixma Pro 9000 II work great. They dry quickly, none have faded after several years mounted on a wall under glass, and the color is consistant and predictable. The Canon inks and this printer give professional results. I only wish they were not so incredibly expensive. Despite the great results, the high cost has me considering alternatives. We'll see.

I got the CLI-8PM from Adorama for the best price I could find and their service was great But....  PM and PC seem to be used up the fastest and neither Canon nor anybody else will put these on sale or offer them in a bundle with other colors.  They are always needed and are never discounted. The Canon ink is a racket.

Adorama gives great service but.....

Good product....but It would appear that Canon is phasing out this model ink cartridge since the printer that used them has been discontinued. For those of us who still utilize that printer, finding them at a reasonable price has been a challenge to say the least. When I first bought the Canon Pixma Pro 9000MK II, the cartridges averaged about $ each......now you can't find them anywhere for less than $. It's either buy a new printer or pay through the nose.
