I was excited about this printer after I bought it, but I finally have come to accept that the print quality sucks. I had an Image class 4270 or something like that and it printed so crisp that I wanted another Image Class printer just so I could have the same crisp printing. This isn't doing it. Why would you have a newer printer print worse than a printer that was many years older? It doesn't make sense. Very frustrating.

I received a free sample of this printer from the manufacturer in order to honestly and accurately review the product. Overall, I would say I was very impressed. Super easy to install and set-up. I found it was quite easy to just install using the included drivers. When printing, I couldn`t believe how quickly and smoothly this machine prints. If you are used to using a home office inkjet, the difference is pretty incredible. The speed, accuracy and crispness is unrivaled. I will admit that this model is really only applicable for commercial applications. While it`s very nice to be able to print at lightning speed with a laserjet, I`m not sure I really need that much power in my home office. However, if you work in an medium to large office or school setting, or any where that requires a lot of printing, you really can`t go wrong with this machine.

I received this product at no cost to me in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. First off, the printer was much larger and heavier than I expected, so I would suggest getting someone to help you set it up. The output speed is what impressed me the most. Maybe I`ve gotten used to older printers but once pressing copy from the machine itself or print from a prompt on my computer, it took only seconds for the document to come out. I can`t comment on the performance of faxing, as we do not have a fax line, though scanning was very simple. Assembling the printer was very easy though as I mentioned before, it helps to have another person to move the actual machine where you want to set it up. Once it was where I wanted it, assembly only included removing tape and packaging materials. I was hoping to use the printer wirelessly however after multiple failed attempts of setting the IP address and corresponding settings, I gave up and bought a USB cord. Note that a USB cable is not included in the contents of the printer box so I had to purchase that separately. I should also mention that our office is connected via a public network and the IT department said that in order to use the printer wirelessly, I needed to assign a static IP address to the printer. The guys from IT provided me with the VLAN ID, local network, dynamic IP, subnet mask, gateway, static IP and DNS addresses however it never worked out for me. No one from IT ever actually came in personally to help me - though I consider my computer/networking skills to be a bit above average. That said, I cannot say without a doubt that this difficulty was not due to human error. Not being able to use the printer over our wireless network was disappointing but we can manage since our office is pretty small. I would recommend this printer to a friend or family member if they needed a commercial printer for business purposes, however it is quite large for personal use.

This product does well when in printing good quality B&W prints quickly, making good quality scans, & being connected to multiple devices through wifi. I would say it’s perfect for home business, small business, & small office purposes. It was easy to set-up & exceeded my quality expectations, exhibiting no faults & performing nothing less than advertised. I would be interested in combining this machine with the ability to print in color, perhaps adding color inkjet capability, so that it could be an all-in-one solution for me. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for its features, B&W printing, copying, scanning, & wifi connective. Overall I’d give it a 9/10, because I still require an additional color printer. I received a free sample of this printer to review as part of the STARS research experience in exchange for my honest opinion.

I received this printer for free in exchange for an honest review. Overall I really love this printer. To me it is like a mini version of a printer/copier you would find in an office building. It has copy and scan capabilities. You can print from your phone which is probably my favorite feature. It also has faxing available, which I didn't set up but could be convenient. It holds a lot of paper and can load it in the bottom tray or you can top load it like a big copier. The printing that I did was very high-quality and fast. It has the ability to print on both sides of the paper which I love. It also automatically goes into energy saver mode after a certain amount of time which is great. Set up was very quick and easy. It comes with a CD with the software on it and Installs very quickly. I was able to hook it up to my Wi-Fi network extremely easily so I could print wirelessly which is so convenient. The only things I can think of that I did not like about this printer was how big it is, and how heavy it is. I live in an apartment building and had to carry the box up two flights of stairs and that was not easy. Also I don't have a ton of space as I live alone in a one bedroom apartment so it takes up a lot of room.

I received this printer as a product to test for my home office. This is my first multi function printer and I am quite happy with the product. Initially it took some time to set up. Connecting to my wireless became an issue but after following the steps in detail it became functional. The quality of the print is fantastic, the quality of the scanner is wonderful and while I have not used the fax option yet I am sure the quality is similar. My favorite option is the wireless. Printing from my phone and other devices is such a great option when you are looking for speed and ease. This unit prints very fast. It would probably be best suited for a small office with a few employees utilizing the machine. This printer is a little large for the space I have for it but being it is such a great printer with nice options, I will serve its purpose for years to come. I recommend this product for a home office or small business.

First let me mention, I received this product for free in exchange for an honest, open and thorough review. I`ve never owned a laser printer before, so I was a little hesitant as what to expect; but after using it for a little over a week, I`m pleased with the functions and quality of prints. Set-up is easy, the instructions are simple and clear, the menu operation panel is an ample size for reading and navigating and the paper feed drawer is large enough for a ream of paper. As for the results...the machine is fast, fast, fast and the quality of prints (scan, copy, print are high resolution, sharp and professional (you can`t tell the difference between the print or original). A few more positives about the product would be that it can easily be connected to mobile devices, faxing (which I have not done yet) and savings cost per page in comparison to ink jet printers. Other than the printer being a bit large/heavy and not having a color print option; the quality, speed and wireless capabilities are perfect for small businesses, home offices and anyone who does a lot of printing, scanning and faxing. Definitely a multi-function printer that I would recommend.

I received a free DL550-Canon Laser Printer and was ask to review it. I would like to start by saying what stood out to me the most was the remote WI-FI printing. I love this feature! I can send documents straight from my iphone. How great is that. I no longer have to log onto my computer to print anything. That is the best feature by far. This printer also prints each sheet quickly and with ease. I’m use to waiting a length of time for my desk print to print 1 page, but not anymore. This all in one printer makes my work-life and personal life a little easier. This printer was fairly easy to install. I wasn’t so sure because the box was extremely large. However, everything was neatly packed and easy to remove. I would have preferred this to be a color print and a little smaller, however I’m still happy with what I have. I would recommend this printer for anyone that does a large amount of printing. Overall, I think this is a good product and did I mention I love the remote printing!! Haha. Happy print to all who purchase this Cannon Laser printer.

It was very easy to set up and start using, with very clear instructions. The quality of the printer is wonderful; both the printed and scanned images are very clear. It almost feels like a high quality printer you’d use for a small business. The printing was very quick, and I appreciate that the device can print, scan, and fax. It really is a great multi-purpose machine! My favorite feature is that it’s extremely intuitive. I’m not a very “techy” person by nature, so I appreciate when a product is easy to set up and use. I would definitely recommend this product to family/friends who are looking to purchase a new, high quality, multi-purpose printer. Overall I would rate the product as “meeting my expectations. The only negative (and reason it did not “exceed” my expectations is due to the size. It’s very compact for what it does; however, I live in the city so my office space is quite small and the printer feels a bit large for the space. I would prefer if it were smaller and lighter to move around. I recognize most won’t have this issue though, as my office space is very small.

I received a free Canon Laser Printer and it made an immediate impact on my printing usage. I was able to copy, fax and send all in one. The copies were clean and it never jammed. I really loved the ability to print many copies without any jams. I wish it had more color options though.

I was in the market for a new laser printer and by chance was given the opportunity from the STARS Program™ to receive the Canon ImageClass D1550 in exchange for my review. The Cannon ImageClass D1550 met or exceeded all of my expectations. The set-up was great! in fact, I was able to do it without even opening up the manual. Printing was fast and quiet, but most importantly when compared to my prior printer, the quality was far more superb. It is more of a larger printer than what I would have selected on my own but I have the space so that was not a big deal. The scanner function was great and worked well. the fax transmitted fast and fine. I did use the manual to adjust the fax settings (such as ringer volume). Now the best, wireless printing from my phone/tablet was great! One click and Walla! Lastly, this is a copier and you can`t tell the copies from the original apart. I copy many pages per day and am a high volume printer. I would recommend this the Canon ImageClass D1550 for home/small office use.
