Had to by a cd drive just to install the software since the versions on their site don’t work. WiFi does not work no matter what you do it won’t recognixe the network. Scan quality is average and frequently jams. Only advantage is the size which fits nicely on the desktop.

I have been unable to use the installation software found on the disk because i do not have a CD drive on my laptop. I have installed the software attached to this scanner on the Canon page, but the software which says it is compatible with the 225W does not work. I have the scanner connected to my network but no scanner software that is able to connect to it. I have tried using both Capture on Touch for the DR-C225W and Windows Scaner software. The windows scanner software is able to connect only when the USB is plugged in. The Capture on Touch software which is designed for the DR-C225 is not compatible with the Wireless version of the same printer. Capture on touch only functions when the USB cord is used, and is unable to detect the printer even after installing using the Network installer. So basically, although this is the wireless version it is effectively non-functional because the software is no good.

Purchased wireless model to avoid issues with cables and be able to share. DOES NOT work with Apple computers as of 14 SEPT 2017. The help team is no help they have no timeline to update the wireless access tool they actually recommended downgrading my mac to an old version to be compatible with their software. When a device comes with a CD-ROM in 2017 don't buy! You have been warned, support sucks I asked for a return label month ago and haven't received one, and the security of the tool is horrific, hence why its not in the app store.

Easy to use. Great for multiple size documents. I have used standard size paper and legal size documents along with receipts. Occasionally will take two sheets at once with previously stapled documents but not very often. I have been using for close to a year now and has continued to work the same.

Paid the extra $150 to get the wireless version, but really - it's not a network scanner. They just replaced the cable with wireless, it is still locked to a device. While the applications appear to work - the basic functionality you would expect, which is integration of the Twain driver with the OSx printer/scanner interfaces - is not there or does not install. Ergo, other applications cannot use the scanner. Worse than that - there is no uninstaller, or even a document describing how to uninstall. I never did get to scan anything, though I did get the scanner connected through wireless. It is a very handsome device, it is compact and looks like it would have done the job. Some of the switches and paper guides looked cheap for a $550 device.
