This item is a must have for me. I sometimes have to shoot for two or three hours at a time with team photos, individual photos, portraits, and action shots. I save time because I don't have to stop to change batteries. The coupler is small and lightweight, but is well built. I just take out the batteries and drop the coupler in the battery compartment. The PowerShot SX150 IS has a covered port for the coupler cable. I just plug in the ac adapter to the coupler and the other end into an ac outlet and shoot for hours of still shots or video recording. No worries about having to stop to check or change batteries. The only drawback is the ac adapter will not work without the dc coupler. I did not know this before I purchased the ac adapter so I had to work with rechargeable batteries for about four days until the dc coupler arrived. This is a can't miss item.

This item, combined with separtely sold AC power adapter, allows for long shooting or editing time with the Powershot SX 150 IS--which eats normal alkaline batteries at an alarming rate.
