Its a great camera

I love this little camera, except trying to keep it from slipping from my hand. Great photos, even in low light, very good battery life, and it really does fit in my pocket. I've only had it about a month, and can say, so far so good. Great camera for the price and with a 1 year warranty! I'm very happy with my purchase.

GREAT LITTLE CAMERA

Great, fun to use camera. Cheap with better quality. It's sleek and chic figure makes it easier to use. The simplicity of it makes it even more beautiful. It just, has exactly what anyone could want in a camera in a small, beautiful figure.

We have 6 of these refurbished powershots 300 hs in are family, the f.2.7 lens makes it a great low light shooter. I just love the canon color it has in all the pictures.Movie mode I use 720P at 30 fps to get nice smooth movies.In still pictures I use program mode, P mode you get 3.4 frames per second with out the flash on. In program mode push the menu button once and then sit the A F frame to center and that gives you more controll over focasing than you have in auto mode.The 300 HS is a very capable camera. To get better pictures you would have to go to a G 15, S100, S110. I might add the the shippingwas very fast...

This is a great camera

Love the video. Wide angle doesn't need focusing if "auto focus lock" is set to about 5'. Video frame capture makes very good 4x6 & 5x7 prints. Excellent corner sharpness for a super wide lens. Very Good low light performance.
I print mostly 8x10 stills and they are outstanding. Love the depth of focus compared to a DSLR.

I gave this camera to the group of kids I work with and they take turns using it. It is simple to use and has great quality.

nice little camera

This is a great little camera.
I have the red one. I use it for video and for photos.
My last camera was the canon SD780IS and it served me well.
I upgraded to this one because it shoots in FULL 1080 HD video.
It has a nice wide angle lens.
It is really good in low lighting & it shoots 12 mp photos and it can shoot in macro with photos and video.
It is very small and lightweight.

Great little camera

This camera takes blurry pictures, even when you’re holding the camera still. I have owned a Canon Power Shot in the past and the pictures were crisp. Not on this Canon Model A4000.

The video feature is easy to use but when you move the camera to follow a subject the video is blurry.

What a Shame

I have the EOS550D but it's, um, a little big to carry around all the time. Then I saw a competition winning shot in a photography magazine and it was taken by the ELPH300HS, and I thought, okay... checked out the price, that was good too.
I LOVE THIS CAMERA. It is with me always. I have taken some of the best pictures of my photographic career with this little camera. Technology has become so amazing, and now I'm looking @ this site for a camera for my nephew who is about to go on his first trip to Europe...

Great camera for a quick picture. I got this camera to use when I do not want to use my Canon 7D. It focus quick, battery last a long time, picture quaily is great, easy to use, love the size fits easy in my pocket.

Nice small camera

We use this camera as our family camera.  Does everything we need it to do.  Takes very good pictures.  Easy to use.  Great value.

Very good value

I bought this camera especially for my trip to Europe and it has been very nice. It stands out, comes with a great little case, and takes pictures in full HD. The only real negative I've noticed is the lack of hand grips, so it's best to hold it with two hands rather than one when taking pictures.

Red Canon Camera

This is a great snapshot camera. Like all cameras in its class it works best outdoors or any situation with lots of light. Canon's point and shoot line are great and have good image quality compared to other P&S cameras. it is not a DSLR by any means, but I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a decent camera around for family shots. macro feature is nice too.

Amazing price on a good camera

Great little P&S camera.  Small enough to fit in a pocket, but feels sturdy.  Takes good snaps of the kids.

Camera has lots of options but using the auto settings make it easy to use even for a new user.  Looking forward to exploring all of the options.

Simple camera produces high-quality pics

Used a learning and fun tool by a 12 year old. The small size is ideal as a first point and shoot for a youngster. Also fine in those occasions for others when a DSLR is too much. The HD video is a good add in since this is much of the appeal of the camera. Minor shutter lag as expected from this type of camera. The placement of the flash is such that even the small fingers of a kid will occasionally cover it.

Giant in Small Package

Love the wide angle lens for getting everything needed in the picture when shooting in smaller rooms. Works better in low light than any camera we've had previously

I purchased the Canon ELPH 300HS kit as a gift for christmas.  It was an incredible value and the quality of the photos (and video) captured is amazing.  The colors are so true and the image is crystal clear.

Easy to use small and compact. Great video capabilities with the wide angle lens. For the money you can't go wrong with this camera. No,it's not a pro camera with all the whistles and bells, it is that little fun camera you put on your pocket and go. For the most part I leave the camera on auto and let it do its job and it works, of course you have to understand the basics of lighting and composition. Don't expect the camera to do miracles for you. Enjoy it and have fun

Fantastic deal

I thought this package deal had a catch but there was none!!! Everything was brand new and the camera is great!!! Got this for my mother for Christmas, she will love it because of the easy-to-use controls and large, clear screen!

Such a steal!

I was scouting around for a camera to carry around all the time, for those get-togethers or simply to click something I liked. This little fellow suit my purpose. I bought it not only because it suited my budget, it also had above-average reviews on the internet. And now, I've fallen in love it. 

Not only does it feel and look great, it also takes great photos under low-light conditions. Operation is as simple as it gets. The zoom is a bit on the lower side, but I didn't need much of that for this camera. For a better zoom on the same model, you can try ELPH 310 HS. 

I already own a high spec Canon for taking around when travelling. This time, all I wanted was a kind of point and shoot city camera. And it's perfectly fitted into that role! :)
