The Flatbed Scanner Unit 101 is intended to be used in combination with the Canon DR-series document scanners. The flatbed cannot operate as a stand-alone unit. The Flatbed Scanner Unit 101 is a device designed to complement Canon's high speed document scanners and widen the variety and types of documents that can be scanned to include items such as bound, thick and fragile documents.
