William R : Does the G1 X have a Macro setting comparable to the Macro settings on the Canon Powerhouse G10 - G12, where one can get really close to the subject?STEVE G : This is one limitation of the G1X. The macro setting is not that functional. I think this was a trade off for the zoom range of the camera with the large sensor.R DOUGLAS C : Search Adorama for the Canon 250D or 500D in 58mm size.R DOUGLAS C : There are closeup lens attachments that I've read work well with the G1X.ANDREW R : Focus range in Macro mode: 7.9 in. - 2.3 ft.
