Canon PIXMA G2200 MegaTank All-In-One InkJet Printer

I love the concept of not having to deal with ink cartridges but Canon needs to work some bugs out of the tank system. The problem that repeatedly turns up is that the ink feed tubes lose their prime & become filled with air. The only way I've found to re-prime them is a system cleaning which wastes massive amounts of ink. It would be helpful if Canon at least supplied a utility that allowed us to selectively re-prime the tubes individually so we are not wasting ink by pushing ink through tubes that don't need to be re-primed.

A step up above the G1200, this inkjet printer comes with the ability to scan color documents and photos to your computer. Setup does take a bit. Between filling in the tanks, allowing it to set up for the first time, alignment, etc. In the end, you have a solid printer capable printing both photos and documents. I made sure to buy Canon photo paper and an extra set of ink bottles, because initial setup does eat away at some of the ink, but it's mainly because it's pulling ink into the printer head. Pretty satisfied overall. Even in these times a global pandemic, Adorama customer service representatives were fast to respond and process the shipment once it was back in stock. Would definitely do business with them again.

Had this printer 3 years. Worked great until I got an error code. Said the ink absorber was full. The only thing is you will need to take it for repair to clear the error code. Cost to repair is equal to a new printer. Will not print until you get it repaired. Too bad because everything else on it is still working fine.

The printer is very good for the price. It works well for my needs. I like the fact that you can see the ink right in front of you. There is nothing I don't like about the printer. I would certainly recommend it to others and would certainly buy from them again. I like the fact that they keep you up to date on your order. If it is out of stock, they keep you informed and let you know when it will become available.

This is a great printer. Copies come out beautiful. Ink tanks very easy to fill with no mess. Ink bottles very affordable

OPERATING & PERFORMING WELL. Like my g3200, not as easy to install, as one might like. Installation is worth the effort but shouldn't be this difficult. Problem seems to be getting the printer and computer to communicate. Other than that I love these printers.

Very happy with my new printer. Easy set up, easy to use. Copies and prints are very clear. Happy to not spend money and time on cartridges. I use it at home. Would recommend it to anyone.

make sure you double check the instructions. i was confused as to why it wouldnt work at first and it was because i missed a step. now that i have it all set up, this is an amazing printer. i love the megatank and i cant wait to see what it does with photos

Bought primarily for the mega-tank. Very easy to set-up. Few features but should be very adequate for very light home use. Have had for only 2 weeks so need more time for full review. So far so good.

This was to add to my collection of printers, one at office, one at each house, all Canon. There are two good things about this one: no extraneous fax and The quality of scans. But the very best part is ink tanks instead of catridges. As always the prints are high quality & most satisfactory for me needs.

I ordered this product online from Amazon and when it got to me I could NOT use it with my MacBook Air because Canon did NOT supply a connection cable for my computer NOR did the description say in the product detail page that it does not come with a connection cable for your computer. This tell me that customer service is NOT a priority with Canon but trying to make a profit of you for equipment that is missing parts is.

Print quality great! Love the ink tanks and coat of refills!! Sad to say the photo quality is lacking. Everything has a mud like tone to it. I am currently experimenting with different photo papers and have Canon photo paper on order (non of the local outlets carry Canon paper Hopefully I'll be able to come back and say that the paper made it all work. Always loved Canon print quality I'm sure It's just a mater of getting the right materials.

Pictures are grainy, lines not sharp, colors washed out. Other reviewers that loved the picture quality must not have high standards. Our older Pixma MG5220 was much better and we wish it hadn't died the ubiquitous U052 printhead failure.

I received this printer to review and I have to say that I immediately got rid of my previous printer. The setup was pretty simple, although I had to pay close attention to the instructions, when I can normally do without. The printed product is amazing, my prints came out very vivid and without the ink transfer that many printers have. I'm thoroughly satisfied with this printer!

I received a free printer to review and test out....I love how clear it prints...The quality is great....It also prints fast.... However I would like the option to select number of copies to be physically on printer....I have to press the print button the number of copies I want...it's just my preference... It's simple I guess that way...but I want a button physical on printer for me to select when copying or scanning...overall it's a very good printer...m

I received this printer free to review. Overall, a very nice printer. The concept of built-in ink tanks is a good one. Printer quality is good overall. Print output was on par with other printers in the class. Photo printing was better than another model from the same manufacturer. Black and white print speed was as advertised. One drawback is no WIFI. For a printer of this price not to have WIFI was a bit startling. Not a huge issue, though. Scanning was as expected, producing sharp results. Overall a nice device. Do not try to stand the included ink bottles (or any refills) up to let them drain into the tanks. They don`t do that. They will promptly fall over, and ink will go where do DEFINITELY don`t want it. No worries about not being able to replace the print-heads. Those are replaceable, as well. If I were looking for this particular type of device, I would buy it.

I received a free sample of this printer in order to provide my honest opinion. I can honestly state that this is the best printer I have ever used in my life. The printing effect is actually very quiet. It's a fairly quick printer and the quality isn't bad either. I also love the richness in the colors displayed when printing paper. The “My Image Garden” is my favorite feature simply because I have the ability to customize my photos to my discretion. The assembly process was very simple. I followed the directions provided and was able to assemble the product in a timely fashion without frustration. I have to admit that I did not expect for this printer to be this detailed. The quality is beyond excellent and is worth every dollar spent towards this product. The only improvement I would make is to decrease the size of the machinery. It is pretty big. Shoot…even the box is huge. Its not a knock on the product. It is just something that would be better for me in order to give it a space that would not be out of place in my domain. I wouldn't just recommend this product to my family and friends. I would recommend this product to the President if I could do it. It is that great of a product. I am proud to be an owner of quality and will make sure to spread the word to everyone in need of a printer that will withstand the hands of time and uphold a performance one would seek in the future. With this product, the future is now.

Canon Pixma G2200 Megajet All in one printer is an amazing piece of technology. It is very sleek & compact. It fits perfectly on my desk. It has everything that I need. The setup was very easy as the given directions were clear. I have used this printer for about a week now, mostly for personal work. I’m very pleased with its quality & speed. The Black & white copies are very crisp, the colored documents are great as well. The pictures came out rich & vivid. I absolutely love the borderless printing. The scanner works great as well. So, overall I Love the concept of Megajet, It’s a game changer. I’m definitely saving $$. I recommend this to everyone. I recently received the Canon Pixma G2200 printer as a sample and wow what a printer! Not only was the set up super easy, but the documents I needed printed out flawlessly and in vivid color. I often need to create spreadsheets in various layouts and have had issues in the past with skip marks or just plain drab color. This is certainly not the case with the Canon Pixma G2200! This machine also comes with full scanning capabilities which has allowed me to do away with my old scanner and the use of two machines. The G2200 is also compact enough that you can easily fit it on your desk without feeling like it has taken over the entire space. Canon has also done away with expensive, bulky, ink cartridges for the Pixma G2200, as it comes complete with refillable ink tanks. They are so easy to use and take up much less space on the machine itself which alllows for its compact size. Even after using this machine for only a few days I would already highly recommend this printer.
