Had I waited to purchase this camera, I would've had the upgrade I needed-remote exposure button. Love this camera. The software was outdated.

This is a great overall camera, we have a YouTube channel Mark’s Misfit World and this camera is perfect fit for us. Small easy to use in crowded areas without a lot of people paying any attention to us. This camera produces great pictures and photos without spending lots of money.

The camera kit is ok but Canon's customer service is dreadful. They apparently can take orders but are unable to update customers as to order status. Perhaps they should get out of the business of direct to consumer sale and leave it to those that know how to do it better.

Loud clicking sound when autozooming. Battery door has to be manyally opened and closed. You need to lock it by hand to not open. Poor colors and quality from not to far aprox 15 feet even with adjustments. Too expensive for what it is.disappointed.

Picked up the G7XII after being out of photography for a while. I had a DSLR in the past and wanted something smaller that would be good for low light photography. Love the images that I have taken so far with it. Cant wait to take it on vacation in June and give it a real test.

If you'd like a still camera, look no further! However, calling this a "video" camera is wrong, and putting it in a VIDEO Creator Kit is unacceptable, and seems like a scam. This camera is no good for videos. Why? 1 The autofocusing audio is unacceptable, and there's no way to plug in an external mic. This has been a problem with previous Canon cameras. 2) There is no way to charge the camera while filming, which means 20 minute videos and you're done. 3) Autofocusing in general. The camera is constantly trying to focus on random things. "I'm focused on you!... Oh wait, what's that 20 feet behind you? Let me try and focus on that!... Oh, it's a lamp. Back to you!" Now, there is a way to turn the autofocusing down. Not off, but down. Which means there's still times it's trying to focus on other things. But there is no way to turn the autofocusing clicking noise off. So good for photographs, but horrible for video.

Thus far we are very impressed with the Mark II. We are using it for our YouTube channel and it has made all the difference there. It's very easy to use and takes wonderful pictures and video. We highly recommend it to anyone.

I like that it is a little lighter, will be used for travel. Disappointed that it didn’t come with a neck strap or pop up flash.

I had no idea they could build such solid tripods this small. So portable, I was have a blast just walking around the neighborhood near sundown and whipping it out whimsically to take a nice perspective shot with the sunset and clouds. Very very cool!

The G7X II has been amazing to shoot with. I use it primarily for video, but the image quality is fantastic too. The f 1.8 aperature really makes the video great, as well as the seamless autofocus. The only problem I had was the first camera I ordered had a dead pixel and it was a hassle to replace, but my new one is perfect.

Great little camera at a good price

This is a great overall camera, we have a YouTube channel Mark’s Misfit World and this camera is perfect fit for us. Small easy to use in crowded areas without a lot of people paying any attention to us. This camera produces great pictures and photos without spending lots of money.
Stay inspired with the PowerShot G7 X Mark II camera, which combines exhilarating speed and performance with a smart, compact design. It can be ideal for travel, events and anywhere on the go, or as a secondary camera, and features a high-performance 1.0-inch 20.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor as well as a bright f/1.8-2.8 lens to help capture impressive images whenever your creativity sparks, even in low light conditions.
The PowerShot G7 X Mark II camera features a large 1.0-inch, 20.1 Megapixel* CMOS sensor that helps capture high-quality images and videos. Its wide dynamic range helps ensure both bright and dark parts of an image are fully captured, like the shadowy side of a building on a bright sunny day, or streetlights on a dark night. 20.1 Megapixels* means photos with enough detail to print, or enjoy on high-resolution monitors and mobile devices. It also gives additional flexibility during editing, giving you the option of cropping in on your subject for improved composition while still having a detailed, high-resolution image. Smooth gradations from light to dark keeps unrealistic banding in solid colors to a minimum. Thanks to an available ISO of up to 12800 (expandable to 25600) and the power of the new DIGIC 7 Image Processor, extremely low-light photos and videos are possible, with minimal image noise.
The new DIGIC 7 Image Processor's enhanced tracking and detection capabilities help keep subjects in focus, while ensuring each image has a high level of sharpness and minimum picture noise. Whether you're capturing a fast-moving athlete or a feisty puppy, the DIGIC 7 Image Processor in the PowerShot G7 X Mark II camera can stay locked on throughout the action. Improved face tracking helps keep your friend or family member the subject of the photo. Even in extreme cases, like in low saturation or low-light dusk, dawn or darkened interior moments, the DIGIC 7 Image Processor helps keep what you're photographing in focus. It also features the new Dual Sensing IS, which uses data from the image itself to help minimize the blur caused by camera shake and body movement. This results in clear, precise pictures even at slow shutter speeds. All this is in addition to upgraded detail and noise reduction abilities, especially in low light with high ISO settings.
The Canon HS SYSTEM lets you take bright, clear photos as they happen. Beautiful low-light shots are possible with minimal noise and truly impressive detail in both highlight and shadow areas. The system is the result of two technologies in the PowerShot G7 X Mark II camera: the large format 1.0-inch High-Sensitivity CMOS sensor, which captures more light; and the DIGIC 7 Image Processor, which actively reduces noise at high ISO speeds up to 12800 and processes images at high speed, even at full resolution. Experience the freedom of using higher shutter speeds in far more situations, allowing you to capture images with outstanding clarity and detail.
