Anthony T : Can you copy more than one sheet at a time?ROBERT Z : Hi, Anthony T: I bought this model after I retired last year knowing that I wouldn't need a full-featured copier like the Canon I'd had in my office. No, you can't copy more than one sheet at a time. This model will duplex (copy both sides), but you will need a machine with a document feeder to save yourself the trouble of inserting each page. When you search for copiers online, look for models with an inclined tray on the top, or read the specs. I believe that a careful search will yield the model you want without your having to pay a big premium over the D420.SHARED C : noDEBORAH R : No, not that I am aware of, no feeder for multiple copies.....JOHN S : The scanner surface is for one sheet at a time but the software will allow you to copy many single sheets into a single file. The machine has worked flawlessly and was a great value for the money. I bought the copier back in August 2011, and I'm not sure if my list above is complete. Also included was a power cord, and thereby hangs a tale. The copier didn't work when I set it up, and I was resigned to sending it back. By chance I noticed that the cord was nonstandard. I found an old power cord from another copier I'd owned, and plugged it in. Carol W : I need a good black and white laser printer with no frills that will take both legal and letter and print both sides but will fill with 250 legal pages. Is there something out there like this.?? ThanksHOWARD L : Hello, The Canon D420 has worked very well for me so far, but I have only used letter sized paper. So I cannot comment on the use of legal paper. I have not used the duplex (print both sides) very much, but that worked pretty well also. It comes with a starter toner cartridge but you can buy full ones rather cheaply. Excellent Printer and Excellent customer serivce

Easy to use, especial for "scan". Good quality. Although I was confused on installing drivers in Mac OS X system, at last I was succeed in doing it from the help of excellent customer service. Excellent product!

Perfect for the home or small office...

Great printer and copier. You can't go wrong if you need a B&W printer copier with a small footprint. I'm thinking of replacing another printer/copier now that I see how this one is performing.

Very good buy.

My older PC745 copier died and I bought this one as it's replacement. Most multi printers cost a lot more and all I really wanted was a copier. It's fast, makes good copies and the two sided feature is easy to use. Probably wont use the other features offered but, they are there if I need them. Too soon to have any cons.

This product is simple to set up & use. Has all the basic functions that a person could want. Very quick first print/copy out. Canon is a great company & they just keep putting out great products!

Great product, as usual

This is the best printer i have owned. I have been a canon customer for about 15 years. There are other printers that have alot of gagets and do-dads that you pay for but don't use. Canon is the best at controlling this. The prices now, since on-line ordering became available, i have found that the prices are cheaper than in the store. I could keep going, but lastly, their service is outstanding. My printer stopped working while under warranty, and after a few trouble shooting steps with tech support, they are going to send me a printer and exchange the damaed one out. you can't get better than that!

Poor choice for me

Prints great but found out that the ink cartridge only will do 2000 copies or less, much less than my last Canon copier. Cartridges cost about the same to get 4000 copies.

good value for the money

my first canon product. very well packaged, this image class D420 is simple and easy to use. set up was a breeze.if anything I have yet to use all it's functions. it does what I want, which was to scan and print to and from my laptop.it's fast and quite. mI think we will keep this machine for awhile.

fantastic buy

At the sale price of less than ($) this has to be the best printer/copier/scanner on the market today. We print a lot of UPS and USPS shipping labels and this makes that task affordable. Add copying and good scanning with OCR and this machine is everything we were shopping for. I'm stunned by the quality and certainly didn't expect such a solid machine. It doesn't fax but we don't do fax or smoke signals.
