Had another photo printer for several years, and I'm amazed at how easy this one is use with regard to selecting layout and photos to print and the quiet, quick printing.

It is much faster than the printer I had been using and the ink is cheaper. The prints are very sharp and it prints fast. It only prints up to 8.5 x 11 inches while I have been use to 13 x 19 but that will save me paper and ink. The USB cord that connects the printer and computer was not included in the package. Color is great.

Bought to replace an aging Canon i850 - a very good printer but whose print head cost more than the Pixma iP4700 which is a much more sophisticated machine. The color photo prints are outstanding.

For such an inexpensive printer, it really does a nice job. I have compared 8x10s from this printer with 8x10s from my much more expensive HP pigment-based printer and, while the archival longevity will undoubtedly not match, I would say that the overall print quality is reasonably comparable.
