What can you say about a lens hood and a filter adapter. This kind of review is sort of stupid and I get a request to review nearly every thing I buy. Doesn't make much sense. I am happy with my purchase but I got a good deal since Canon offered me a discount since I purchased and registered a new Canon camera.

The only thing I would change about this camera is the inclusion of a built-in EVF.I consider the accessory EVF a must have with this camera.Hopefully,we see a mark II version of this camera with built-in EVF,if so,I'll be at the head of the line.That doesn't exist at the moment,so yes,I highly recommend this camera (with the EVF).

I bought this for the lens hood function but also to add a protective UV filter and to use my polarizing filter. I tend to keep my hood backwards on it when storing and found the removal to flip it around tricky. Note the square button on the hood in the photo, that releases it to take it off, otherwise the whole adapter will come off and you get stuck in the field trying to get it back on. Not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. Additionally, all the reviews I read before buying this hood/adapter said the camera's lens cap would still fit. THIS IS NOT TRUE. You'll need to buy a 67mm lens cap too. With all this now attached, it actually makes it feel more like my 7D and doesn't add much weight. I recommend this addition especially to protect your investment by adding a UV filter.
