Disappointing Battery Life
I purchased the battery on 1/29/2024, and today, it was not working, would not calibrate, and had no life. I am highly disappointed that this battery lasted less than a year.

Original Canon Batteries are the best! They continue to provide excellent performance after several years of usage. They are much better than third-party batteries in my opinion.

So Far So Good
This battery pack came with my 1Dx-Mark 11 and I haven't had any issues so far. I have only used it one weekend and it lasted through hours of shooting both stills and video. I will update once I test it out some more.

A work of art
This is an amazing Canon product. The piece is a work of art!! The chemistry between the unit and the camera is electrifying. The smooth surface and rounded edges are easy on your hands. Too bad they are so expensive!

OEM batteries have proven time and time again to be the way to go. Expensive, yes, but what isn’t at this level of photography. Well worth it for the extra peace of mind of having a backup in the bag.

Batteries are a must - even for a beast of a camera.
No battery = no photos, no videos, and no fun!
You need extra batteries if you plan to be out with the camera all day. Yes the LP-E19 is a beast within its own right but every now and then, it does run out of juice.
Don't regret not getting an additional battery because you want to be frugal and limit your creativeness by not taking those extra shots or additional video clips.
Just get this bad boy to go with the 1DX Mark II.

More power than LP-E4. But there are catches.
This is the battery of the future. If you got a 1Dx Mark II and have the new charger, for the extra $10 it is silly not to get this over the LP-E4.
Compatibility questions answered
You can use LP-E4 or LP-E19 in any 1 series body Mark III or above. You lose some performance with E4 in the 1DX2, but for almost anyone it wouldn't matter.
You can charge the E4 in either charger. It only charges to it's capacity.
You cannot charge the E19 in the old charger. They have it physically blocked. Some information indicates you can charge E19 in E4 charger but that is physically impossible.
If for some reason you need to buy a new charger, get the new one for the E19 regardless. It is the future and it is silly to spend that much on a charger that doesn't work on everything.

Great battery for professionals
This is my second battery to use as a backup battery for my Canon 1dx2 camera. I can also use it for my canon 1dx camera. Works perfectly on both cameras

Great battery for a great price
Official Canon battery. I can shoot a full day wedding with this thing (although it's always smart to have a backup!). Best price around too. Received it quickly and with no issues.

Always good to have a backup
($) is pricey, but that's what these costwhen you want another battery for the Canon 1Dx Mark 2 DSLR. Canon rates these at about 1210 shots for most use. Of course, based upon environment, etc., YMMV. GREAT Canon quality, and so far lives up to my expectations.

Long-Lasting for Video
I use the 1D X Mark II for shooting video, and one of these usually lasts a good 3+ hours if the camera is on the whole time. I brought my collection up to 4 total batteries ahead of a 2-day shoot in the woods, and didn't have to worry about running out of juice at all.
