Has worked well for several years

Bought this at Staples several years ago. I use the printer, document feeder and the scanner all the time. I spend 6 mos in FL (where the printer is and 6 mos in MD. After 6 mos of non-use, I have to clean the printheads, but otherwise it has worked very well. I use a hardwired CAT5 connection which has worked very well.

Great Printer

It is a good printer, you just have to be patient in learning and understanding how to operate it.

Used to work

I liked this when I first got it although I hate the fact you can't print with just black ink and when the color ink runs out you can't print, scan or fax. I feel like this is when the problems started. Now it will no longer scan from the touch screen if I can get it to scan at all. It continues to say it is not connected but it is connected by a USB cord. This machine was now a complete waste of my money because I mostly use it to scan and that won't work. Not matter what I try it is useless.

My review of My MAXIFY MB2320

I bought this to replace my older printer in hopes it would be very fast and save me money since I used to buy HP printers but the ink started costing too much. Now on this printer, Very hard to take out the ink to store it when I leave country for time periods and when I come back, ink disappeared and again over and over. The ink is not cheap and does not last very long. Now I am very unhappy with this product. Not to mention, at start, it connected to my computer easy. Now after a couple of Windows updates, it seems to be a pain in the butt now just to print one paper. I will now look for a replacement printer that the ink does not cost so much and dries up so fast. This printer is getting ready to hit ONLY one year and I am looking to replace it!!!

They don't work well

I bought a MB2320 and I only used it for personal. I only used it three times a week, and suddenly, an orange light turned in. The first time I fixed, watching videos on Youtube, and it helped me a lot, but then, it happened again and again & I just tired of it. Don't buy this printer at least it has 5 years warranty (Never.

Poor quality

I've had this printer for about three years and from the beginning it prints very slow. And when I bought it I didn't know that you can't replace an ink cartridge until the machine tells you to. I just bought the magenta cartridge, tested it, and all was good. Two days later I can barely see a printed page. So.I wasted time and money. The black and yellow tank levels can't be detected and it's been that way for months. Time for a new printer.

Ink Raptor

Although this printer prints some of the nicest pages I've seen it goes through ink like a beast, at $$$$$$$ per cartridge. The original cartridges lasted a week at best. You do have to be careful with the on screen display since it says "your cartridge MAY be out of ink." That tries to trick you into thinking you need to replace it. When you DO replace a cartridge it never shows that the cartridge is FULL. I would probably spend more money for a better printer that uses cheaper cartridges.

Good Printer, But Not Great

worked perfect till we bought a 3rd party ink cartridge. Then the printer stopped working kept on giving us an error message, and Canon told us it's bc we used 3rd party cartridges, however the printer head doesn't even allow you to remove the cartridges. It's a good printer, but we would not recommend it for this reason.

Really disappointed

At the time this seemed like a pretty good deal. Now .... not so much. As indicated in other reviews, cleaning cycles will drain one or more of the color inks even if you only print black all the time. Once one color is out, you can't print anything else. Secondary issue is ordering online. I have ordered ink through Canon and had the order fail twice in a row. But now my Paypal account is sitting with a "pending" amount to pay Canon, but there is no order pending to ship. I may have to cancel the order through Paypal. Next printer I buy will have to be something other than Canon.

A true workhorse

I have been using Canon products since I bought my first printer in the military in 1995 which was a one of the first portable printers only available by Canon. The MB2320 has been my workhorse for the last 2 years. I couldn't ask for a better printer. The only time I have had issues with ink are when I used generic refill ink from a store or website. I made that mistake twice and never skimped again on my ink. If you turn on the printer before so that it can go through it's maintenance cycle then anytime you print it is relatively fast. Yes, not as fast maybe as a laser printer but faster than most other inkjet printers out there. The MB2320 has served all my needs including letters for my wife's business and tons of spreadsheets and presentations for my personal day to day activities. I can't wait to upgrade to the next model when I can afford it, but I do hope to get alot more use out of this one even though it has traveled over 5 thousand miles on the road with me. Thanks Canon!

TERRIBLE printer.

This printer is the worst printer I have had in a very long time. Envelopes are unprofessional looking with the ridiculously narrow print area. Ink cartridges can not be changed out until the printer thinks they are empty. Print quality ranges from average to poor, depending on the project. This one is just a fail by canon. I am sorry to have purchased it over HP. Canon used to have good products.

Horrible printer

I have now been using this printer for a year after my Pixma died. I bought it at the recommendation of a Canon agent from customer service. I have been a faithful Canon user for many years and can guarantee that this is the worst printer Canon produced. Avoid it at all cost. Not only you cannot change cartridges until they are fully empty, but print quality is horrendous.

Wasted money

My husband and I have had this for less than 2 years. It won't keep connected and is now becoming more difficult to reinstall. We've had Canon printers for years before buying this disappointment at an outrageous cost. Now we are looking at other printers. SORRY CANON, YOU HAVE LOST OUR BUSINESS!!!!!!

Garbage

Horrible. Slow. If you depend on this for business like they advertise it your business will fail (thankfully I do not use it for business barely print anything and ink is out in no time. Additionally when your yellow ink runs out it wont print black and white either “to maintain print quality”. Designed to take your money nothing else. Ps would not let me post my full review bc of profanity

Ink sucking disappointment of a printer!

Near constant cleaning cycles drain the new "Extended Life" tanks quickly. Now, after just over a year, it's throwing a B504 error, probably a death sentence for this printer. What causes this error? Low ink. What causes low ink? Cleaning cycles. Why does low ink kill the printer? Because that's the way it was designed. Sorry Canon, you really missed the mark, and lost this faithful customer, with this printer.

Horrible!

Probably one of the worst printer I have ever owned. I put in new ink and before I can print out 20 pages it will give me the low ink message. IMO the MD2320 is a target for guns! Can't wait to put holes in it just a waste of my time and $$$. Like all Canon products now a days "Junk"

Not worth the money!

I bought 2 of these when they were on sale, big mistake. The printer is very slow. Sometime it would take 10 minutes just to think about what it's going to print. Printing 10 packets of 6 pages took almost 30 minutes. Another problem is that it keeps losing connecting to the network. I have to reconnect the printer to the home network 9 out of 10 times just to use it. Overall, spend a little more money or wait for a sale and get yourself a nice laser printer.

Better look else where for efficiency & relability

I agree with other reviewers that this printer is low quality. We print wirelessly, that was one of the appeals to purchasing this over two years ago, (that was newer technology then!) and it does take a considerable amount of time to print so I can't speak to its speed when connected directly to the computer or other devices, but wireless printing is time consuming. My boyfriend has a PC laptop and is able to exert quite a bit of control when printing in Chrome and Office applications. He is even able to initiate/monitor printer head cleaning and testing. I have a Mac and I am not able to exert nearly the same level of control over my print jobs in Chrome nor am I able to initiate any testing. Though it was been a while since I have updated (if ever) my printer driver, definitely before upgrading to macOS Sierra, so I will, for the most part, reserve judgment until I update my drivers. We use our printer very infrequently and find that doing a print head cleaning + testing is necessary almost every single time we print. Otherwise, we have all sorts of strange outcomes. Lines of text will be missing on pages, placed in the incorrect place as if the page was somehow nudged, or other strange happenings. One of the most frequent things I print are coupons, and this printer....let me tell you, just so happens to leave pieces of the barcode out rendering it useless, and you cannot reprint coupons that have been printed. This is a giant annoyance for me and is literally the reason I am in the market for a new printer. We have found the ink usage for this printer is astronomically high.Given that when we have to perform printer head & ink testing &cleaning prior to each time we print, we waste a lot of ink. Right after we run out of our third-party ink, we will be replacing this printer. Our printer has also displayed a notification for a firmware update for at least 4-6 months and asks us to go into the settings to update the firmware. After going into settings and performing a firmware update check we are told that the firmware is up to date...strange.

Nothing Wrong with Mine

Read the reviews of people who complained about ink, printing problems, etc. Wonder if they are using Canon ink. Had my printer for about 8 months and love it. Am using Canon ink only. Much more expensive, but absolutely no printing problems.

Horrible printer

Every time I use this printer (which is rare) I dislike it more and more. It takes longer for the machine to cycle through its set up procedure than it takes to print a single page. Gears whirring, the cartridge sled sliding back and fourth for unknown reasons, then repeats it again and again before it decides it's ready to print. The original ink cartridges lasted us over a year before I finally had to replace them. The brand new Canon cartridges purchased from Best Buy are now empty after less than three months with nearly zero use. It's seen perhaps 50 pages at the absolute most and ALL of it was just basic word documents or web pages with very little color (regular paper, no photographs)! I am so disappointed with this purchase.

Plugged it in, installed the ink tanks and the ethernet cable - windows 10 saw it right away.
