I had been shopping for a new printer and had received a offer to try a printer in exchange for a review. As some but weary. But this printer turned out to be awesome. The printer is fantastic.Clear and crisp copys, it faxes scans, prints on both sides at once. It has a lot of technology, and only took me about 10 minutes to set up and figure out how to use. Extremely simple. This printer is great and so easy to use. I give it 5 plus stars..-

I bought this printer when it went on sale, and just fell in love with, it copies very fast and almost print the page as it copies. Scanning is superb and scan to iOS is a breeze, the Presto page manager added some great features to collecting business cards and organized them. Scanning from network is flawless, the only thing I haven't been able to figure out is the scan to email feature that comes with the toolbox, and I haven't tested the fax yet. The pages that prints are crisp and sharp. You do not have to take my word for it, check the specs for yourselves and you'll see that its a great buy, especially on sale

The box doesn't contain a USB cable, and thus, you cannot use it unless you buy a USB cable separately.

We are a Canon dealer and have three Canon multi-function printers in our office. The oldest was installed in 2008 and has about 800,000 copies on it and is our primary office printer. The MF216n is attached to our network and can be used by all of our employees and customers and has functioned flawlessly since installed six months ago. So far it has run about 18,000 pages with no trouble. Our customers have purchased over 200 of the MF216n's and so far not a single problem. If you want a great printer at a reasonable price get a Canon... and yes, we're prejudiced.

The laser printer has to be plugged into a network infrastructure FIRST before anything else happens with your network like: wireless connections to a router or modem connected * Modem/Router/That has DHCP

I have 2 other wireless printers. This one has by far the most complicated wireless setup. Try finding a manual that explains it for just this printer. Good luck. All the manuals I can find on-line are combination manuals for this unit and 2 other units that have different menu setups. My other wireless printers were plug and play compared to this one.

The item was easy to install, print and scan response time was good, come with loud processing noise, image quality was less than expected but acceptable, however; keep in mind you pay for what you get, I am willing to accept the choice I have made.

I love the speed of this printer, and the sheet fed scanner as well. No paper jams or other mechanical issues after 6 months. The one thing that is annoying -- you MUST use original Canon toner cartridges to maintain good print quality. Anything other than that results in inconsistent quality -- sometimes ok, sometimes faded, etc.

I have the ImageCLASS MF216n in my office now for three months. It's a great little copier/scanner/fax unit. The laser provides quick and clear prints and, let's face it, you get a lot of prints from a single toner cartridge (like 1500 sheets!. I have one question. Why does my unit not have any wireless functions? Seems that most reviews and even in your specs, it is suppose to have this feature. I do really miss that part. But, yes I would highly recommend this printer

Elderly couple use for light printing. Replaced toner after one year. Only one not too serious problem. Paper tray tray stores paper in a curved position. Sometimes paper comes thru in twos and threes. First is properly printed. I load extra sheets back in paper tray. Shuffleing paper doesn't help. Still like it.

Have had this a few months, and have no problem with it. Some mentioned the scanner being a problem, I have had no problem the print is clear and dark. My Dell computer that is 10 yrs old will only print to the printer if I save what I want to a pdf file first. My android tablet, my husbands laptop print to it just fine.. The only thing is my Iphone does not see the printer and I do not see anything in the book to fix this.

I like Canon for their excellent customer support, and because of this I will overlook a couple of shortcomings with this machine. First, I am basically satisfied so far (have owned it 2 months and use it a little bit almost daily). Printing is fast, so far no jams. But for some reason the scans are pale, and there's no way I can see to darken them -- an issue worth noting if you want to buy this principally as a scanner. Another reviewer mentioned an annoying touch-screen operation; the tilting screen pushes back when you touch it, there's a small lag between touching and operation, and sometimes you have to jab a button a few times for the touch to "take." Overall, though, it functions OK for a home office, and as I wanted an economical printer, I think I got what I paid for.

I bought this to replace a D***. The D*** was a much better scanner. I was able to lighten or darken the scan, something I can't do with this and the highest dpi on this is 300! The D*** went into up to 2000. I should have that choice. The scanned document is often so pale signatures are not legible. I'll have to replace this. I'm tired of sending pics of signatures. The printer portion is great, there is a lag from when I press print to when the document appears, but it's not a problem.

I've used this for about 8 months and had no issues. The scanner is a bit loud but I don't use it frequently so no big deal. Yet to experience any issues with paper jams, printer works every time. Feel pretty good about getting this to replace my old HP unit.

Bought this to replace a brother printer. Liked the Brother much better (despite that one jamming often). This printer is not easy to use, gets paper jams daily, and the touch screen is not that responsive which makes navigating the screens (you have to do this often) very annoying. Also stops all operations over the smallest alerts until you go through the tedious process of the on-screen step-by-step instructions. In an office setting, this printer really slows us down. Probably would be fine in a home of it wasn't used that often.
