Bought is 9 months ago because we needed a desktop scanner. I have spent way too much time uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and software, re-configuring things, etc. When the scanner is functioning from the onboard screen, it works great but the scan quality is not that great. Unfortunately, that has been about 3-4 total out of all of this time. All the other MFP's we have used work way better. This is an extra printer now.

Terrible. It disconnects randomly throughout the day, will not reconnect, and shows as offline. Won't print until you update paper type, even though you didn't add paper, change paper, or make system changes. Have to download drivers constantly. When it works, it's great. But that's about 5% of the time.

I purchased this printer in 2021. In 2023 it would not scan unless I unplugged it and waited for 30 seconds everytime. I had to download the drivers every other day and now it will not connect to my lap top. I was o.k. that is was not a WIFI printer. I have has Canon products in the past and had a good experience, but it has only been two years and I have to potentially purchase another copier. That is not good

If you are looking for a reliable printer/scanner, DO NOT BUY THIS. Every time I need to scan something, I have to redownload the driver (process takes about 10 minutes). If you have all the time in the world and enjoy wasting time on diagnosing and fixing a printer that you paid money for, then buy this junky thing.

This is hands down the worst piece of garbage I have ever purchased. Nothing works right, nothing runs the way its supposed to, spent hours with Canon IT trying to resolve all of the issues we've had with this abomination, and I still can't get it to do what I need it to do. Will barely print because it won't stay connected. Feeder to scanner won't engage no matter how we try to fix it, so I have to scan pages individually. I am going to replace this unit ASAP and never look at Canon again.

The printer has stopped working altogether because it has 'forgotten' it is connected. I used it to run a small law practice. I have had stop work so many times to address issues with it. I now need to stop my business altogether to find my receipt of when I purchased it so I can address the problem. Very sorry I purchased this printer. I may have to end up throwing it away, and just getting a new printer.

I had to buy a cable to connect this to the printer. It worked four years, but used very infrequently at my dad's. Now it keeps 'forgetting' its connected. I bought new cable, unistalled and reinstalled drivers. Sometimes the latter works, until the printer is shut down. A real miserable piece of plastic, this is.

We love this Canon printer. It's fast and the installation was easy. Unlike some other brands in the same price range, this one feels solid and stands out. We ordered two MF236N and were told they were out of stock at check out. Since we were not in a hurry we placed the order anyway. Adorama sent us order updates emails and it didn't take long to receive our printers.

Even brand new, this printer is garbage... 1. I am using the original cannon 137 cartridge, but there is an error stating that it is a non-cannon cartridge. 2. It doesn't print. I downloaded the driver, everything looks good, but when I hit print, nothing happens.

I bought this in October 2021. The feeder does not feed correctly so copies come out crooked. It cuts off the edges of the paper so if you are copying something that is close to the edge, it will be cut off. The quality of the copies is not great.

Described as a network printer. But doesn't have WiFi. To most people when you say network, you would think it would work with a WiFi network. Not so here.

Good product for price. I wish the network scanning would allow to save to a file share or ftp. A duplexer would be nice, but for the price, I can live without the duplexing unit. It prints good, even on economy mode. Easy to setup and fast. No wi-fi support.

Got tired of the Epson printer,scanner ,copier drying up and having to run cleaning cycles etc...this fit the bill just turn on does everything I need fast without the nonsense of the Epson Inkjet printer I had in my office.....price was right .....my fault for not buying something like this to begin with.......Not faulting my other Epson printers....1400,1430,3800 and 3880...great photographic printers. Laser is definitely for the office.
