Setup is not the easiest and it seems every 6 month I need to restart it to get it back on the network. To print from and I-device you need to start the canon app and wake up the printer, not a major issue once you know this. The quality of printing is very good including printing picture as long as you are printing the pictures on good quality paper. I also away a network black and white only printer from Bro***** that is simpler to setup but does not have as many features and will only print from their app on I-devices. I have used most of the features in the three years since I bought it including scanning to email, usb, computer, faxing, coping, printing from computers, I-devices, A-devices. I am can?t tell you if other companies make easier devices to setup and I am very tech capable. I am very happy with my purchase especially give I got it at 50% if it?s list price and there are good non-canon cartridges at reasonable prices.

Good printer. Laser printer means toner/ink doesn't dry up after prolonged period of not using, so a plus over inkjets. The scan does take some getting used to, but once you figure it out it is pretty straightforward. However, issues are with the feeder - hard to feed multiple pages and get them to line up straight when scanning or copying. If scanning or copying from scanner bed it works fine. Also the "touchscreen" sucks - does not register. I can see why other folks may not like it. Customer service is good - was able to help me figure out some minor issues in the beginning. Reliable after 18 months of pretty intense work from home use. I have not used fax though. We have received faxes and it works fine.

This thing has so many software communication issues, directly connected to a PC it can't manage to scan documents, requires numerous resets, it resists connectivity to wireless and the software is junk. It's the printer from office space, it will make you want to destroy the thing.

Have used this printer for a little over 1 year and I can say that if I had it to do over again, I'd skip this one and buy and HP. have had all the trouble others are saying. Difficult to set up correctly, with confusing instruction. The scanner app seems almost like an afterthought. Once I did get it up and running and figured out how to correctly use the scanning app add on, it seemed fine for awhile. Now there are blue streaks down both sides of the paper when I print anything. If printing in B&W there are black streaks. Have tried cleaning the printer roller and fixer. Nothing helps. I cannot recommend this printer. I am disappointment in it's performance and will look at a different brand next time.

Just unboxed the printer and although there is a telephone cable in the box, there is no where to plug it into on the machine. It would appear there is an additional module needed which was not advertised.

I've had this printer for about a year and for quite a while now it has been leaving streak on each page. Now it is also leaving a black streak on the opposite side of each page. It also goes offline multiple times and also shows me error codes

I have been a print shop owner for 20 years and I have bought and run dozens of digital printers. Small, medium and super large digital printers. Yet, I have struggled to get this machine to scan to a USB or a computer or wirelessly. I have owned it for 18 months and I have tried 10 times because I bought it for the scanning feature.

Don't buy this if you EVER want to print on photo paper because you can't. Basically no one sells laser photo paper and if you try to use Inkjet photo paper, you will ruin this printer. Laser photo paper is hard to find and expensive. I wish I could return it.

Once this printer is set up, I've found the quality of the printing, scanning, duplexing and PDF to e-mail to be fantastic. That being said, setting all of this up was mind-numbing and difficult. The printer can be rather slow at startup as it needs to warm up and it definitely won't do two functions at the same time. For instance, scan/ create a PDF while printing a document. I feel that there a lot of unnecessary prompts within the menu system, such as, scan>to e-mail>e-mail address>start>start sending>close. These steps could easily be cut in half. I think that if Canon spent some extra time with their interface, they could really have a good product.

This printer has been nothing but trouble since the day we bought it. The scanning settings were a nightmare to set up and don't stay in place. It won't print on labels. The ink is crazy expensive. I realize now I would have been much better off replacing the much less expensive printer I had before with the same model I had. I thought this would be an upgrade but seriously regret the purchase.

When it works, it prints great. However, that is about half the time. I have a very hard time getting it to work for most print jobs. The interface is confusing and I can't figure out how to scan or copy, so those functions are useless to me. I have been happier with my easy to use inkjet printers that are user friendly.

This color laser printer is BEYOND AWESOME! For the price and quality of the prints, this one is a great choice. Easy to hook up with either USB, or to your network via Ethernet OR WiFi. Cartridges come pre-installed. The packaging is very unusual but effective -- Just follow the instructions on the top of the box or watch one of the un-boxing videos online. The only thing I didn't like is that because of the cartridges coming pre-installed, you may need to run a process to calibrate the cartridges otherwise you'll get faint ghost prints around certain colors. This process is usually automatic during the setup, but it also usually fails during the initial setup and can be run manually afterwards. Other than that, this is a great buy!

If I didn't need to print envelopes this would be a different review, This printer stinks on ice at printing anything but pages of paper. Envelopes are not picked up properly by the feeder and even when they do they jam horribly. Printing 10 envelopes requires about 20 minutes of constant babysitting of this printer. I will stick to brother in the future. I really want to office space fax machine this printer. Cannon you have lost a customer forever.

Cons...Some of the worst installation directions I've ever seen. Setting up the scan utility is trail and error. Poor instructions on setting various networking options.

It is missing a fax icon. I bought it to fax. It say it can fax. The directions say it can fax. It has a phone jack, However it doesn't have a fax icon. I looked at other 634s at Best Buy. Same thing. Their display model was also missing a fax icon.

I own a Canon Color imageCLASS MF634Cdw and a 632Cdw. I like them so much I am going to buy another 634Cdw for another office. I really like the 634 because it scans on two sides, you can print remotely and the print quality is very good. The paper trays are a bit small but sufficient for basic use. The 632 is the same unit but only scans one side. I had a problem getting them set up for scanning but it was usually my fault and Canon Customer Support bailed me out. I highly recommend the Canon products and their customer support team.

It's a great machine. Does what it's supposed to without breaking the bank. Color/b&w printing, scanning, copying, and faxing (though have not used this feature yet). Wireless printing is works well and I can easily print not just from my laptop but my phone. Best of all, toner prices seem very reasonable and widely available. Highly recommended.

Previously I used ink jet printers. Very pleased with the quality of the output and available features, but it's not all intuitive. I've been bumbling through figuring out some things since I haven't looked at the downloaded manual. (Who wants to do that?) I have scanned, copied, printed documents, printed photos and printed on small custom sized card stock. The Wifi printing isn't enabled yet, as the code set at the factory doesn't seem to work. I haven't had time to call for them to guide me through resetting that.

This All in One Printer is a great setup for a small office. Easy to setup and lots of features. Warms up quickly, printing from smartphones is straight forward. Scans quickly and sharply. Only wish the scan software was more like the older software that used to come with the Canon Pixmas.

The printer quality is good for the price, HOWEVER, it constantly pauses in the middle of the printing queue. Right now I am half way though a print queue of 7 documents, and it has been stuck on document 4 for about 20 minutes, and still hasn't printed. I've tried several things to attempt to resume the printing, but unfortunately this just keeps happening. Definitely would not recommend.

Purchased because tired of replacing ink jet units. They dry up or get clogged. The image quality isn’t as nice on photos but for the cost I can order from photo printer. Now anyone can print wirelessly and I can scan to email for my wife’s simplicity. Kids homework prints flawless and sharp. Also cartridges last forever.
