My old printer died and I needed one right then . Target had this one on sale . This has been a great printer for copies and photos . My work gets done on time . I've had it for about 3 years now and it's still prints great .

Bought this printer in 2016, and haven't had any issues other than finding ink cartridges for it. It does take a bit of time and patience to set up on various platforms, but have no issues printing from my iPhone or laptop.

I bought this printer in early 2016, unfortunately the instructions are not that easy to understand but I was able to get by and connect to wifi. I haven't had any problems. I've scanned photos, documents, printed on multiple occasions. The ink doesn't run out fast either but is quite expensive. I can print from many different types of devices around my home with no issues. If you are unable to understand the instructions, I would highly recommend calling Canon and get some support. This printer does exactly what they state. I'm pleased.

The printer always cuts off the bottom of the page. I have to move up the bottom border over an inch to keep from cutting off my text and graphics. Very frustrating.

Purchase this printer in July 31 approx 2016....I was told it was not a good printer. I found setting up the computer a chore. I needed to hire an IT guy which brought to mind calling "Cannon IT"....one year to the date; another drop of the program...Cannon to the rescue once again...3rd time was the final straw in that I had to call IT it was o messed up "in the brain" it did not recognize my cable; my router etc....it took approx 3 days to get this printer up...That was approx 6 months ago....no one could figure it out...eventually the problem was resolved but now approx 6 months later my printer would no longer print...the paper goes down approx 3 inches sounds as if the printer will print but the paper moves way to the right and no more of the paper going into the printer and the arm of the printer quits moving. Receiving a signal to cancel the Printing????my IT Joel thought its a glich in the computer signal to the printer. I say this printer was terrible from the beginning. I will delete and try reinstalling to see if that will help if not, another printer with a possible different name brand :(

I try to use this printer wirelessly. The printer constantly goes offline and cannot be found. When I troubleshoot, I get a message that says the power is off. It never is. The power is on and the lights are there taunting me for being stupid enough to buy it.

I have had trouble with this printer from day one. Got it in Dec of 2015, thought what a deal. WRONG! The thing rarely connects to devices, ink is very expensive, not user friendly, and the list goes on. If I could give it a -5, I would. Biggest aggrevating thing I've ever owned!!!

I bought this printer during back to school season for a decent price. I didn't realize how much the price would reflect on the quality. This printer will rarely connect to your devices and when it finally connects it will only print half of the job. I would not recommend this printer to anyone.

this printer jams when when I put paper in it, it sucks it up sideways and noting.... When I do get it to print it prints out something I printed out months ago...even tho there is nothing in the queue (?. it prints from the last page even tho', I have unchecked the 'print the last pg 1st...... the wifi doesn't work either, so the printer has to stay next to the computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this 5 months ago. Were still trying to set it up for our chromebooks!! It is a total waste of time because you'll just keep going around in circles trying to get it to work. It will not connect to a Chromebook even though it is cloud print ready. Will never buy a canon again!! Save your money and time. I can print from my android but not my laptop!!

This Cannon Printer has been a headache since we purchased it a year ago. Should have trusted the reviews, because it has held up to all the poor ones and more. Wi-Fi does not work, even with resets and a tech-geek; it's junk. Loadable "software" does nothing to help nor recognize the issue. Even when the printer was brand new, I think I printed a single page one maybe 3 occasions - max, before the starter ink was empty. I figured, maybe it dried quickly from sitting on a shelf? Purchased the XL-max cartridges, including the color ones, only to have them show empty after, again, only 5-10 single page prints - max, over a few months. We rarely need a printer in our home, but when we do, the ink is out, somehow ALL the ink, even the color cartridges, which we don't directly use-!? After the first 3 months, the printer no longer even feeds it's own paper. Seriously. It either won't suck the paper, regardless of whether there's one sheet or 15 sheets in the holder. It "thinks" it took a page after several tries, and then starts printing on *nothing.* You then must hit cancel, and retry...literally at least 10 times, to get it to take ONE page and actually print on it. Then, that ONE page (imagine the absurdity of a THREE page document in one setting! prints completely crooked with stripes all down it, from jammed-up ink when it didn't grab any paper the 10 times before... Literally, the most JUNK of a printer I've ever owned. Should have heeded all the negative web reviews a year ago!!

Have had this printer for about 6 months now and though i have not used all its features, i am not happy with the ink consumption, nor the loud bang it makes when it goes to print. It has scared several of my family and although does print "quietly" while printing that initial bang sound at the first is unnerving.i have used better printers for the price and i am disappointed with quality of this printer. Bought this for the wi-fi feature although was more expensive than the similar HP printer with no Wi-Fi. BAD DECISION! Does not come with USB cable. So had to buy one. Wi-Fi set up following instruction was just loading/spining for 2 h and nothing happent. after 2 h did wi-fi set up using USB cable. Works now only if USB connected. NOT wi-fi. Anyways past that.. the hidden yield page count per ink. Could not find in product specification when purchased. Other Canon products as well as HP product have up to 300 regular ink up to 825 pages the XL version. This one (althought the ink price is $1-2 difference from HP) has 150 pages regular and only 300 XL version. 1/3 of productivity for almost same price? NOT WORTH IT! Walmart can't return it as it's been 20 days they say contact manufacturer. Manufacturer says return to retailer. Will consider it a loss and never purchase Canon products again

I've tried to connect this to two different Chromebook computers...still no luck. It keeps me runing in cirlces and nothing works. I have this printer at a vacation location, so on my way back home, I bought a HP printer to use with Win 10 computer. At least that works.

Will only print the last three pages of anything I'm trying to print. The rest of the document is streaky and unusable. I will NEVER buy another Canon product. Especially not when HP makes a cheaper printer that will outdo this one.
