Garbage

Worst headache of my life. Software feels like it?s from the 90s and is useless. But literally ANYTHING else.

Very easy to use

I've had this printer for years. Very easy to use, whether it is wireless, or hooked up by USB. Scanner works good. Two sided printing. Easy ink cartridge replacement. Ink prices have stayed relatively the same price.

Good Basic Printer

Have had for years. Set up was not bad. Wireless connection worked well. Proble is it keeps giving low ink message since I used remanufactured ink to replace rather than Canon.

Horrible Features

Problems: - Ink Cartridge jammed, unable to open - After a while of not using it, more errors popped up exceeding the problem of the cartridges (for whatever reason - Coloured images are grainy - Actually, black and white images are too In total, I was able to print 3 pages before all problems broke loose. 3! Waste of money, would give it 0 stars as it did not fulfill the simple and basic task of printing.

Choose another printer

I am so sorry I bought this printer. It has never worked like our former HP printer. Always something. Takes forever to print.

Ink hog!

Decent printer and scanner except it runs through ink like water! Their website says the printer gets a minimum 180 pages per ink cartridge, but I only got 90 pages of my resume on normal setting. Replacement cartridges are twice those of other manufacturers. You can do much better for a cheaper price per page.

not great

I don't hate it, but I've been trying for years to set up wirelessly--which I've been able to do with other printers before and after. The directions are impossible for everything! I'm not sure if its a translation problem, or if they just are wrong. Can't alter size, or darkness. Still use it, but it is attached by cord to the kids' school computer.

Great for printing right to the trash bin

Setup is buggy and difficult. Print and scan quality is terrible. The hardware is temperamental and error prone. The ink costs more that your first child and lasts about as long as a white shirt on a toddler at a pie eating contest. Support is useless: All I get is "did you uninstall/re-install the drivers" as if I'm grandma trying to print pictures of the grandkids. Avoid this printer.

avoid, there are soooo many other choices

High-priced cartridges? Check Confusing to setup? Check Medium quality printouts? Check Reliability issues? Check What more could you possible ask from your printer?

Terrible choice

I bought this over a year ago and dislike it more every day. I've never successfully scanned and saved anything and the colors on prints I have made are completely distorted. Don't waste your money. One star is as low as I was allowed to score this.

Excellent Printer

I have had this printer for probably about a year now. I searched pretty hard for a good printer when my HP finally bit the dust. The only issue that I have had with this printer was having to reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi when we moved and changed networks. Once the printer had been setup on our home network again we were able to print remotely. The easiest way that I found to reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi, was to completely uninstall the printer and then download the driver from the Canon website. It took maybe 10 minutes total for both uninstall and reinstall. I have had no problem with the scanner or with the printer in general. I was very shocked to see the reviews posted here.

Terrible!!! Scanner stops working after 2nd use!

Purchased this for use as a printer/scanner but the scanner no longer works after the 2nd use. Needed to scan and send documents for medical reasons and am in a time crunch. This piece of junk fails when you need it most!!! DO NOT BUY!

Broken Wifi / Scanner / Ink Replacement / Duplex

Wifi: The wifi feature of this printer is lacking, not sure what the issue is exactly but it will only connect 5% of the time. Also the driver install cant find the printer on the network even if its been added as a device on the control panel. Therefore new drivers cant be installed without a USB connection. I dont use the printer often and almost every time I do I have to reset the wifi settings. Finally the scanning feature has never worked over wifi. Scanner: So far I have only managed to scan once from the printer to my laptop, it has never worked since. Ink replacement: Constantly throwing up various error numbers regarding the ink cartridges. Duplex: Works randomly and will only ever do a max of one page then jams. This is something I know a large majority of users suffer with also. Fixes I've done so far: Countless ink cartridge cleans (both cartridge and receiver Countless driver re installs Countless wifi resets (sometimes giving up and digging out the usb cable again) Replaced the retaining clips that allow the duplex printing to take place Replaced several ink cartridges (after the third set tested in another printer to find them over half full) Summary: Awful printer that should have had a product recall.

Not what I expected

I have a mac pro desktop and macbook air lopatop which connect to the printer wirelessly. Unfortunately, even though the printer is connected to my wireless network, I get error messages saying it is not connected. Any fix is temporary. Auto-on feature rarely works. Want to download the manual? Instead of a simple pdf, I am forced to install an entire program to my computer.

DO NOT PURCHASE

I OWNED THIS PRINTER FOR LESS THAN A YEAR AND IT FAILED MISERABLY. REPLACED INK SEVERAL TIMES AFTER IT SAID INK WAS OUT AND IT STILL DID NOT WORK . OF COURSE IT CONSUMED ALL OF THE INK. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT NOR WOULD I PURCHASE IT AGAIN. SPENT WAY TO MUCH MONEY ON THIS PRINTER.

WORST PRINTER EVER

I have NEVER had so many issues with a printer. It is always either OFFLINE or NOT RESPONDING. Then you go through hoops re-setting it up. AND IT HAPPENS AGAIN! I wish I never purchased it. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I spent way too much on this for me to have to deal with all of these issues. I have to go to office supply stores to get a new printer and get things printed out because of this horrible printer. DON'T PURCHASE THIS! Further, apparently there isn't even software available for you to print off of more compact computers. WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?!

disappointed

I have always had good luck with Canon but this purchase was really disappointing! I only purchased because I was in grad school and wanted duplex printing and to print from my Ipad, as well as not have another cord connected to my Mac. There was nothing wrong with my previous Canon, but I have learned the hard way! The wireless never stays connected and I have had to connect the USB cord to my Mac anyway in order to print. It worked twice printing from my Ipad, now it will not work at all!! Even getting it to print duplex is touch and go!! What happened?! I feel that I was fooled and will now buy a product that is not Canon...unfortunately.

Software of the map

You see the box says it has WIFI, that why you buy it. Convenient not to have it take space on my desk, I will not be using it every day. Canon however think that is why you buy a printer. The software is heavy and want to put itself on the desktop with "amazing" features i do not care about. I just want to print a picture or an email. But the hardest part is to set up the WIFI. Even if you get it to work, you some times have to repeat the process because it is to hard to the printer to store the information.

Absolutely No Problem

I bought this printer when I went back to university to get my master's degree because of it's duplex printing capability and reasonable price. It went the long haul with me, and believe me when I say I printed out every research article for every class I took. Never really used it for printing pictures but one the rare occasion that I did, they were very nice. Totally happy with this product!

Not recomended

When the cartridge is refiled, sometimes the printer will not recognize new ink, must be some kind os software that detect specific cartiges and prevents from numerous uses.

Bad Choice

Hooked up to wifi worked ok for over a year suddenly it won't print from computer but will still scan. Will not reconnect just says "printer not responding" also will not print unless you have both color and black ink won't print just black also the ink is costly. No place to insert an sd card to print from camera you have to insert the card into your modem but that won't work now since it stopped printing from the computer.

never again

I used to own an MP990 which was a beautiful beast of a photo printer, despite having to take a second mortgage out to finance the ink refills. In a pinch I bought this disaster from Wally-World (my first mistake.) It cost less than a complete set of ink refills for the MP990. The MG3220 must be made by a different manufacturer from the MP-line because it is as un-user-friendly as they get! While I HAVE gotten it to connect wirelessly, the instructions it came with were incorrect and you have to go to the website to get the correct sequence! It's easier to just plug the darn thing in. It's slow and noisy. You get what you pay for. Spend some $$ and buy a quality printer.

It is great for home usage it's easy hookup just read the directions. The best part is it's wireless and easy to use.The only thing I noticed is it's a little noisy when in use.I think the ink cartridges are a little bit expensive.I haven't found a cheap ink cartridge yet .

Great for a small start-up company.
