Purchased the white Canon MG7120 January 2017 through current times, it is now 12/27/2021 and the printer is still going strong. The printer hardly ever jams and when it does, very seldom but like any other printers or any brands, it happens, no machines are perfect. It's either due to papers uploaded to the top too many papers filled to the rim (I never put papers and fill to the top, the tray must have a bit of space for paper to move-print-for it to come out or papers are not stacked neatly in the tray for it to work right, it's not the printer that's not performing. Some consumers complain about the ink being too costly, not when you know where to get the lowest yet very affordable reasonable price for the ink; best way to order ink is thru Amazon under the seller/vendor "K-Ink" it will come up, K-Ink is a small family business, they offer very reasonable ink supplies (their ink is compatible for MG7120, MG7100, just read their page, it tells you what ink is compatible with what printer) it is very easy to read thru by zeroing in your make-mode of printer. K-Ink offers color ink, black ink and also XL black ink, I always order my ink supplies on Amazon via this seller "K-Ink". As for overall performance of Canon MG7120, MG7100 (same printer) I'm very happy with the printer, it's reliable, prints very nicely for what you get based on affordable cost of the printer and the printer is very easy to manage and friendly usage, it does not take a lot of brain power to figure out (1) how to set it up, it's very easy (2) if troubleshooting, like any machines or any printers, easy to diagnose and fix (if something needs attention, your PC screen will pop up a message what needs to be done so you can focus on that one particular trouble and get it fixed. I have this printer for 5 years, a long time. It has not caused me any grief, inconveniences, I am very pleased with this printer and if I have to purchase another in the future, I will STILL go with this one. With all honesty, this is a very good printer and would recommend.

I purchased this printer over 3 yrs ago and works like a champ. My photos are great. The only thing I will say if you need one that prints faster then you need one with more quality. The use of this one model to print professional flyers and personal pictures. I will eventually go with an advance model when needed.

For 3 full years this printer functioned beautifully. All of a sudden in the last month I got error messages that the printer head needed servicing (?. Then loud noises when pulling paper made me go buy another printer before it completely died.

I will likely send this printer to the county recycling station because it is so troublesome, and expensive to use. Every action is SLOW: machine buzzing and clicking, ink heads moving around, silly door dropping down. We only print or scan documents (never pictures) a few times a month, at most, and it seems like every other time we use it it needs one or several ink cartridges. We've printed less than 100 pages since we bought it, and have had to replace cartridges four times. Today the machine would not copy a black and white document because the grey cartridge (CLI-251-GY) was out. (Maybe they're just dried up?) Replaced grey cartridge, but copy printed streaked, and second attempt produced a blank page. (!) Cleaning or deep cleaning never helps. Seems like a poor design to not print black because there's no grey ink. User interface, with tiny screen, is hard to understand and use. (Always wants to do double-sided copies!) This printer gives an error number with our new Mac when we try to scan in a doc, so maybe we need a driver change; but it's not worth the time - we'll get a *document* printer/scanner, and likely not a Canon, based on this experience

I finally dumped my Pixma 7120 after many years & hours of grief. I am not a physical or violent person, but this is the first printer that I actually punched because it is so difficult to use. The long wait for print jobs only to find an esoteric error code on the inconvenient display is just one of many reasons to never buy this model. Just placing a stack of paper on top of the printer, as one would do in the normal course of major print jobs, will execute a command or much worse, initiate a shut-down sequence that takes five minutes to recover. I replaced it with a Maxify 5050, and recommend you do the same if you like Canon like I do.

I do not recommend unless you have a huge ink budget.

This printer runs flawlessly, only issue was with the print head at one point. Canon replaced the entire printer. Now the new one has been running constantly for the last 6 months. Way to go Canon in producing another outstanding product. Canon for life.

Ok! You want a really fast photo printer, get a two ink tank type and get poor to some what fair quality photos Got it?Or get a great quality photo printer that has six or more ink tanks that needs to print slower for a perfect print! Got it? You don't hurry when it comes to good photography, so start your print, go get your cup of coffee, come back and take a sip and your print is ready. Now!, do you get it?

I NEEDED A NEW PRINTER AND I HIT THE JACK POT WITH THIS ONE. IT HAS SO MANY FEATURES I PROBABLY WON'T USE THEM ALL. ONLY PROBLEM FOR ME IS IT SEEMS TO PRINT A LITTLE SLOW AND STARTUP IS SLOW. BUT OTHERWISE WOULD RECOMEND TO ANYONE.

Have not contacted Online Support yet. Good with hardware without ever having any major problems but this printer is really testing me. Still have not got it yet after a few hours over the last 3 days but I am going to keep on trying because you should not require help for a printer. Good grief!

This printer will cost you more than its worth in INK. By having a chip in the ink cartridge, it will require you to refill WAY BEFORE YOU HAVE TO REFILL. If you try to be eco friendly, YOU CAN NOT USE a recyclable cartridge. This printer will cost you MORE than you want to spend.

I am pleased with the MG7120. Have been using it for about two weeks. Surely could use an instruction manual for it. For some reason my new computer will not download the manual from the Canon website.

The copier was complicated to set up, I am not a techie, and the directions were confusing. Finally got it set up, I have had other wireless copiers that were easy to set up and use... This copier does make lovely copies and the print is clear and crisp.

Bought this printer to replace a Canon printer that stopped working. This printer has the features I wanted (auto duplexing, photo quality ... and I'm pleased with the purchase. It works via USB to my PC and wireless to my iPad. I like the auto-on feature that will turn the printer on when you submit a job. I wasn't looking for an all-in-one, but went to this for the auto-duplex feature. The installation instructions could have been better - they put a lot on-line, but when you first get the printer, so better paper instruction on setting up wireless and how to use features of this printer would have been real nice. Good choice for a home printer - I would recommend it.

The printer itself is ok. It's a boss, is pretty reliable. But it shakes a lot when printing, and is slow. I teach so I need a quick printing printer that can handle big jobs, and this printer just doesn't seem to do that for me. Plus it sucks down ink like it's going out of style. I feel like every week or so I have to go and get more ink for it. Kinda ridiculous, it has gotten so bad that I had to get an office jet printer to help with the big projects. Was really hoping that this printer would be better than it is for the price paid.

Purchased a new pima mx712 ran out of ink, purchased new cartridges, printed approximately 50 copies and then the printer quit. Will not turn on no power surges, no problems, just will not turn on. Will cost more to fix than to buy another. Will not be a Canon.

This thing is hefty, it weighs a ton. Ok, that's an exaggeration. But it is big, and solid. Prints a big sheet and as small as I've seen. Nice quality copies, prints and pictures. Complete newbie, but it was easy enough to get up and running. Dig it.

I recently purchased a Canon MG7100 Series Printer. I can finally air print and print double sided without having to manually turn the pages around. Best printer I have had!

An honest review. I love my Canon photography equipment and I liked my previous Pixma 610 printer. Based on that I selected the MG7120 over competitor's products. This printer has been terrible from the start and I've been trying to like it for about 6 months now. Functionally it does what it's told, however it is extremely slow to start up, extremely noisy, the paper output door bangs open and bangs open again during every printer cycling event (it cycles again I guess for cleaning after the print job is complete). Scanner works but has a terrible interface. It does appear it was an effort to simplify (aka cartoonize) the interface however when you just want to get something done, it's annoying. Sorry Canon, but you failed on this one.

This printer stinks. It has been a problem since I bought it a year ago.Photo prints=incomplete ink distribution. Copies:works when it wants. Paper tray pops out=bothersome.Manual is useless for troubleshooting.Followed online instructions too many times to correct poor printing.DO NOT BUY

Pros: wonderful print quality, very easy wifi set up, auto on feature is really nice. Cons: It is not the fastest printer Overall: This is a wonderful printer if you want and easy, no hassle printer that has awesome quality. The hardest thing about setup is taking it out of the box. The owners manual is very detailed and has lots of support.
