I used this in a small architectural firm so its use was either all day, then a few sheets the next week frequency. The printhead Always turned out superior prints, even when set on the faster speeds (less sharp dpi). It likes to keep active or it will need to clean dry ink down the drain with pricey ink into the pricey maintenance cartridge. When it gets used up & you have no backup head, guess how high the price is THEN ... but Adorama has been the best retail price + quick. Never use "compatible" inks, try to run prints batched up together (not onesy twosy every day) for best results and longer life. In that studio mentioned, since 2008 these heads last EXACTLY 2 years to the day.

At my office - a design firm, we often print posters and presentation material. The Canon imagePrograph series of printers are quick and effective. This the first time I have had to replace the print-head in about 2-3 years. The printer gave out the right message and it was easy to figure-out what needed re-placement. This product, although pretty expensive was easy to replace/install. Plus, Adorama had this delivered in-time- which is always good for business :)
