The SX-420 fit was snug in this case.  Not waterproof.

I had a case like this when I bought my camera. This case is still too tight for the camera, and the case could certainly use more padding. Unfortunately, I could not find a case that was slightly larger, or better padded than this case, so I am stuck with this case. Somebody at Canon did not make a better case for this camera.

okay for the money, but too tight

I bought the camera and case for my daughter.  The case is too snug for the camera and does not have a shoulder/neck strap. It is a sturdy case, just not what I was wanting for her.
