Shopper : is this camera compatible with the mac os 10.3.9 operating system?PAUL J : This camera appears to be compatible with all of the mac operating systems. However I wouldn't buy this camera again because it doesn't have an eye viewfinder. It is very difficult to take pictures in bright sun light. Also the indoor picture quality is substandard. Indoor shots are soft (fuzzy) not sharp and clear as they should be.CHOY K : I don't know. Pictures are not as sharp as I would like them to be. Some photos look like portraits with a softness to the photo. Also doesn't have an eye aperture which I need to aim the camera at the subject so which means on a sunny day it is hard to see what is appearing on the screen.STEPHEN B : No I do not. I have a Brown metallic color Canon SD4500. SteveKELLY J : Sorry, this one only comes in brown! I actually like it because it makes mine stand out when a bunch of us have camera's out :-)
Shopper : Can this camera print the date on the picture when developed.?RICHARD P : Hi Shopper, Yes - options exist in menu for date or date & time. Press menu, scroll to camera tab, and use wheel to scroll down to Date Stamp. Press right tab (right side of wheel) to make selection and press Menu to accept. Date/time will be in bottom right of pic. Reference PSSD4500IS User Guide page 59. This camera has more options than just about any hand-held I've ever seen. The program mode and wheel will prove to be invaluable.KEVIN B : Honestly, I don't know. The pictures I have printed out do not have the date, but would have to look at the book to make sure. I love this camera though! I would recommend purchasing the off brand name battery as an extra, the cannon one does not last very long at all (barely a day) whereas the the offbrand will go several days depending on how much I use it. Sorry I couldn't give you a better answer on the date though.STEPHEN B : Yes, you can have it printed on the picture in the lower right hand side or you can turn the date feature off, the option is yours before taking the picture. SteveWILLIAM M. D : Yes. See page 59 of the manual available on the Internet.VIRGINIA H : Yes, it can but I don't use that feature 'cause it makes the pictures ugly. I've had many many Canon cameras, mostly top of the line and SLR and the camera you're looking at is fabulous!

Best camera I ever owned

After using a Canon SD410 digital ELPH for the last 5 years the advancement in this camera is amazing. Paired with a Pixma iP6000D printer the colors are brilliant and the images are sharp and crisp. There are so many features that it will take some time to try them all out. I can't see how they can top this one.

Super piece of equipment

I purchased this product because it had 95% of what I wanted. and have not been disapointed. If it had an optical viewfinder I would give it five stars.
