Shopper : does professional photograpers use this camera?ROBERT D : The short answer to your question would be no. I have two high end Canon DSLRs (which I did purchase from Adorama) with a full complement of lenses that I use for shooting weddings. The camera I took with me this summer on a 10 day cruise of the Mediterranean was the SX200. It's compact size along with it's "reach" makes it a great walk around camera. Though it's picture quality might not be on the same level as a DSLR it is good enough for most non professional situations.SCOTT A : Yes and no. I do not use this camera on assignment, however, I love this camera when I am out with the family and want to take snapshots of us or something that I might find interesting. It does have fully manual mode so it lets me have complete control of the settings, which I really like. The zoom is pretty good as well. I have no real complaints about this camera!CHAIM K : The "G" series, damn auto correctCHAIM K : NO! Don't get me wrong, its definitlry a great camera, for a point and shoot that is. I have lots to learn - can't wait!

I am just starting to play with camera and have very basic skills. This is a good camera to grow into as my skills and technique improve.
