Shopper : Is the battery in this kit in addition to the one that comes with the camera?JOSEPH J : Yes. One battery is a Canon the other a Power 2000. I've used them both and see no difference.ANDREW R : Yes, this camera kit includes one Canon NB-10L rechargeable battery and one NB-10L spare from a 3rd party manufacturer.

Save a lot of money and buy a Refurbished item. If you are not satisfied with the quality level, return it for a refund. Shopper : Hi- I'm looking for a a lighter weight camera (I have a Canon 5D MarkII, which is heavy with the lens) to carry on vacation and shoot kids sports (Baseball outdoors and taekwondo & basketball indoors) How does this camera do, especially with action in low light? Thank you!LEWIE B : I use my sx40 for bird pictures mainly. I was using a Canon 60D with a Sigma 150-500mm lens. The sx40 is so much lighter and easier to carry that I am thinking of selling the larger camera and lens.
Last week I visited the Moody gardens aquarium in Galveston. there I took pictures in very low light with an ISO of up to 3200. Pictures of things like urchins and starfish were great. Sharks and penguins that were swimming were not. Outdoor sports should be OK, but basketball with close shots will probably need a faster tele lens and high ISO camera to not blur action.CHARLES F : Unfortunately I haven't had an opportunity to take any low light action shots. As far as the weight, it isn't light but at least you don't have to bother with multiple lenses. The zoom is wonderful and so far the wide variety of pictures I've taken have all been keepers. I like the camera a bunch but haven't got in to using the manual settings and many of the advanced features.JOSEPH J : I have used it in a variety of situations including low-light action shots and it has performed well. It is lighter than my old slr but a little more complicated.LAURA V : I just got this camera a few weeks ago and experimented on baseball players with great results! The zoom is fantastic. Especially when you use the 2x teleconverter so there isn't much shake. I have not tried it much indoors yet so I can't help you there. I sold my Nikon N75 & its 300mm lens to buy this and am not disappointed at all.
