This is my first dslr and started with no digital photography knowledge. It was 90 days before I began to "outgrow" it but further research has shown in the following generations these very issues are addressed. Not issues , per say, room for growth areas. I unfortunately have to wait a couple years to get my hands on these younger generations, but, I will.

When it comes to learning, it can be a great tool. It is super cheap and produces decent images. If you are willing to learn and grow as a photographer, as well as get the 50mm 1.8, you can produce decent results. I love a lot of the pictures I have taken, but I definitely need a new camera. I have had it for over a year, and have taken around 200,000 shots. I like using it at 18mm on the kit or with my 50mm, but the kit is very unsharp at anything longer. The autofocus is absolutely terrible. I constantly find myself having issues because there are only 9 points, and even when there is plenty of light, it will search and give me the error because it can't focus. When I pair it with a 70-200L F/4, it does produce very sharp results for portraits, but that's only when there is a lot of light. For sports or wildlife, if you can't manually focus, forget about it. It is absolutely horrid even in AI Servo and while back-button-focusing. If you are getting this to move away from your point-and-shoot, then I say it can be a great learning tool, but I now need to invest in something better like a 7D mark II to do professional work.

While I'm a newcomer to the world of DSLR photography, I can't help but praise the capabilities of this amazing camera. it many of the features featured in more upscale cameras, but it's user friendly controls make learning its operation a snap. That said, you can take some amazing shots with the T3. I know because I have!

Previously had a Canon Rebel and burned through quite a few rolls of film over the years but it took great pictures on vacation and of family events. WOW ... the Canon T3 DSLR is fantastic. Really great pictures and ease of use. I'm not a professional photog by any means but with this camera you can with a little imagination take some really good shots. I would recommend this camera especially for someone who is use to point and shoot cameras and wants to step up to a real camera.

I have actually purchased two of the cameras that are included in this bundle. I purchased this bundle for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it, she is using it to learn photography. I bought the second camera for work to use for taking pictures of coins and currency for our coin business. We are very pleased with the setup. It is working great for us non photographers.

This is an ENTRY level DSLR. Yet, it performs very well. The 12.1 MP sensor provides very nice, sharp pictures, with a low amount of noise (grainy. All 105+ Canon EF and EF-S lenses will fit it. When I put my 24-105mm red ring ( "L") lens on it, the results are difficult to distinguish from my higher end cameras. I will recommend this Canon T3 to anyone just starting in photography, or if you are making the switch from a P&S camera. The learning curve is VERY short as well, just put it on Auto Mode and you have instant success with very sharp, clear pictures. When you add to your collection of lenses, the quality of your pictures goes up as well. I highly recommend this camera.

camera is an amazing buy for the money. I was able to unpack it and begin shooting good pictures IMMEDIATELY, using the fully automatic settings. it takes crystal clear pictures, day or night, rain or shine from the football stands. It has been a great camera, with a great price! Professional looking photos without the professional photographer price tag!

I purchased a T3 for my wife to replace a Fuji 18X point and shoot. She has really enjoyed the camera and the additional options that my XSI does not have. It only has 12.2 mp but for most people it is enough. It was a great addition since she can also use my assortment of lens.

i know that this is canons basic entry level camera but you could atleast make it better. The T1i is better than this camera! but for entry levels it is good but not something novice photogaphers would ever want to use

I love this camera! I bought the bundle pack that came with another lens, extra battery, memory card and a carrying case. It was the best deal that I found! This camera is so easy to use. I didn't know much about photography before I bought this. My pictures look great and look professional! I love that I don't have blurring pictures of my kids playing sports or just running around outside anymore!

Keep in mind this is Canon's entry level DSLR, not a 5D or a 7D. Image quality is good for a 12.2 MP camera. Low light performance is good with reasonable noise levels at high (1600+ ISOs). Sharpness isn't what you get from an 18 MP camera, but perfectly acceptable unless you're printing at poster-size. Produces very sharp 11 x 14 prints. It's not the heavy duty body that a 7D is, but it's not supposed to be. This is a very competent entry-level DSLR. I use this a s the camera that's always in my backpack for quick, clean shots.

T3 Rebel is my first SLR camera. Although I've used point and shoot cameras for years, the quality of pics from this camera is superior. The fast and accurate auto focus is a pleasure. I do have to get used to carrying a larger camera. I am going to Italy and am anxious to use the camera to capture memories of the trip.

Had to send the camera back after a short period. The quality was not what I expected from a Canon product. Waiting for my replacement to come in the mail. May start looking at other brands if the replacement isn't any better.

I bought this camera mainly for astrophotography, and it probably is one of the best for the purpose because of its very low noise at high ISOs and long exposures. Apart from that, generally it gives consistently good images. Metering and auto WB are spot on ,AF is quick & no complaints regarding the image quality. In video mode it has only HD, not full HD so its a bit of a drawback but the HD video does pretty good for my occasional use.

I have had the Canon Rebel film for six years. So when I went into my photography program it was a no brainer on what camera I would get to use. The lenses are interchangable so when I get other lens as I move on I can use them on both cameras. I take my T3 to my nephew's baseball games and other events that I have gone to. I used the rapid shot at a baseball game and the shots were better then I hoped for. The details in every picture are better then my old point and shoot. I loved my Rebel film and I love my Rebel digital just as much. There is a reason I call them my babies.

I bought this T3 refurbished and I am very happy with it. Shipping was very fast and, beside the "white box" and a fingerprint on the lens (easily cleaned, I couldn't tell the camera was refurbished. A friend of mine just got a T1i and I feel that the T3, although it doesn't have as high a pixel count, takes nicer pictures with the same kit lens. The T3 feels lighter and I think is easier to operate for novice than the T1i. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. I just need to get a couple lenses, filters, and a bag and then have fun taking nice pictures.

Where i first hear about this product was from one of my friends who purchased it through [@]. She bought it for around 620 dollars just for the camera. My friend's mother told me to look up Adorama.com to find some really good deals. I decided to go with the camera i felt most comfortable with, and i'm glad i did. I just received mine in the mail and it's absolutely great. You should really play around with the camera you plan on buying or something similar to it because you need to be comfortable with handling it. Also, the bundles are absolutely the best deals. Getting two lenses in this kit is fabulous because as you see, my friend lucked out when she just got the camera and not this amazing bundle. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is new in photography, or being a photography student. It's a great starter camera. You can also look for some refurbished one's as well so you can save money! They are just as good as new too.The only problems i have with this camera is that it can be frustrating to focus at times. But, other than that it's absolutely perfect!

Auto focus doesn't always focus on what you want it to on the first attempt, but manuel configurations can correct it. Great opportunities to customize your settings for how you want to shoot.

While I am still learning the quirks of this camera (especially balancing exposure), I have used it for shooting city architecture to in-door parties. The processor is excellant and I have got really good in-door shots with and without flash. Minimal noise up to 1600 ISO. I shot a family party bouncing a speedlite off the ceiling at 400 and 800 ISO with really good results. My only negatives are lag time and lack of remote flash capability. Overall, this is an excellant entry level DSLR.
