Shopper : what does lens kit refurbished mean??BILL R : There was something wrong with it that was corrected. I have not experienced any problems.ANDREW R : Refurbished goods sold by Adorama are all refurbished by the manufacturer (unless specified otherwise) to the original company's specifications. All refurbished equipment sold by Adorama include a 90-day return-to-manufacturer warranty. Canon Refurbished include a 90 day return-to-Adorama Warranty. ----- Who refurbishes the units? They are all refurbished by the manufacturer (unless specified otherwise) to the original company's specifications. Why does availability seem unpredictable? Unlike new inventory, we can't order refurbs. We have to wait for the manufacturers to contact us when they have a batch to sell. What are the advantages of refurbished goods? All refurbished items will have been checked over by the manufacturer by hand, inspected very thoroughly, diagnosed, and calibrated by experienced technicians, and could therefore turn out to be more dependable than a new item - which will only have been checked by a process of systematic quality control protocol (ie by random sampling as it comes off the conveyor belt). What about firmware updates? Refurbished goods are shipped with the firmware updates and latest fixes which were completed at whatever stage it was at when we took delivery. What type of warranty does Adorama offer on "Refurbished" goods? All refurbished products sold by Adorama come with a 90-day warranty; the warranty covers anything the manufacturers warranty covers for a new unit, including shutter defects.

Shopper : do these cameras last long?PETER B : I have owned canon AE1 film camera and several point and shoot digitals in recent years. I bought the canon Rebel T3 about a month ago to get into DSLR. Some of the reviews labelled this camera as cheap plastic and no real features. I ignored these "warnings?" and bought it anyway. I have found that this camera has plenty of features and is built light and sturdy. Many negative critics who write reviews must be such talented people that they need to spend thousands for a camera that I bet they won't like anyway. Examine your reason for purchasing the Rebel T3. If you want a camera that has just about anything you will ever use, buy it. It's not cheap, on the contrary it works well and will last me a long time. I am even using my old Vivitar lenses on it.
