Shopper : Does canon wifi work?CURTIS R : YesCHRIS G : I would assume it works. I'm not much into all the gadgets camera manufacturers put into cameras today. All I need in a camera body is a good sensor and a wide range of shutter speeds and ISO's. For me, everything else--video, special scenes, creative filters, the portrait, landscape, close-up and sports selectors are just so much noise. What I have heard of the wifi is the transfer rates are slow. However, I'm not sure what slow means to the people making these observations. I have no reason to transfer photos wirelessly to a cell phone, the web, to a printer or to my computer. It's much quicker for me to transfer my photos directly from the card to my computer. The installation of the wifi must be intuitive because there are no instructions in the thick multi-language instruction manual. There's only a picture of where the button is located on the Nomenclature page.NINA E : Yes💯Loren B : I don't know, have not tried it on this camera.AHMED O : Yes, works perfectly. I’m using iPhone with the canon connect app. Easily can shoot video or pics.
Colin C : Are battery charger and battery included?CURTIS R : YesKATHLEEN H : Yes they are.Sharon K : Yes everything is included. The battery is smaller and lighter than in previous rebelsPAUL F : Yes it includes both.SUZANNE C : Yes, those are included.CAROL D : Yes, they are.JIM L : YesYESICA B : Yes, they are both includedThomas B : Yes, both are included.
Sharon K : I have the t3i and use mainly in AF so the the t7i a smart upgrade?RICHARD M : If you go to the Canon website, you can get the specifications for both cameras. Look and compare the T3i against the T7i. Look at the features of each camera and see it you feel you need to upgrade.KATHLEEN H : Yes. The t7i has many upgrades over just the previous t5i that I have. I recommend this camera to anyone who likes the Rebel line and is upgrading from a previous Rebel camera.MICHAEL H : Yes, the menu is better for amateur The newer menu shows example of what od does and how to set it. Not to mention mega pixel is higher and better sensor. The t3i lenses you have will work with the t7i as well.

great camera, blue tooth function not easy to use

The camera is great for getting images. I use manual settings and I am pleased with what I get. I bought this camera specifically for the blue tooth function so I could transfer photos on the go. I can't get it to connect to my phone for image transfer. I have followed the step by step guide without success.

Not disappointed

Been away from SLR cameras for a couple of decades. Still getting use to all the auto settings but not disappointed with my purchase. Takes good pics and I'm sure it will get better as I get reacquainted with photography.

Great starter camera!

I love the camera! It works wonderfully and is an awesome starter camera. Just what I was looking for. The only reason I picked 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took a very long time from the first purchase date until I received it (about 2 months despite it saying "in stock" when I purchased the camera.

Great Camera

I love my new camera. A lot of features are the same as my Rebel XT which helps, but many are different. I did not have video with the XT so I am having fun practicing with this feature. I'm still getting used to the swivel view. I still prefer using the regular view finder when taking a picturer. And it takes beautiful pictures. All in all it is a great camera.

Awesome beginner camera - amazing photos! - LENS Warranty ALERT!

Camera is awesome! Amazing photos! Auto-focus on this model is extremely sharp! Great camera for the money! WARNING! Should you purchase a CarePAK warranty for this camera "system", it ONLY covers the camera body ONLY and NOT the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens that comes with it. You need to contact sales to get additional coverage for the lens.

Easy to use and fun to learn!

I ordered this camera once my city got a shelter in place for the corona virus. It came so quickly and has been a great hobby to practice while staying home. I have only dabbled with photography and have been using this camera to learn some basics for beginners and hopefully grow into some more advanced photography.

T7i - Best Move Ever!

I wasn't certain whether I really needed a new camera body but the difference between my Rebel T2i vs the T7i is incredible! Great pictures taken on a trip to Mexico to see the monarchs' winter home. the ability to go to higher ISO numbers without loosing detail and color was especially valuable and allowed much greater flexibility and allowed me to take pictures that would have not turned out nearly as well with the old body. I was a bit disappointed in the 18-135mm zoom lens - turned out that for that trip I really needed the 300 zoom lens. This just wasn't a good situation for the 18-135mm lens. I think it will work very well in nonforest applications or taking pictures of something larger than butterflies. Since the buttons and dials were fairly similar there was a pretty fast learning curve between the two bodies. The turn out touch screen was much better than the T2i. It also made it easier and quicker to make adjustments with the settings

First DSLR - shoot like a pro!

By Tim H.

I’m an avid amature photographer. Before our vacation in Scandinavia, my wife upgraded my camera to the T7i with the 18-55mm STM kit lens. My photos of the fjords in Norway, white sand beaches in Denmark, and coffee / pastry shop photos of my wife are the best I’ve taken. Love this camera!

Finally! My very first DSLR.

By Hellowils

This my very first DSLR. I'm really happy with it. Love all the features and its user friendly especially the interface. So neat.

Take your photos to the next level with the image quality and near-instant autofocus of the EOS Rebel T7i camera. A 45-point all cross-type AF system and optical viewfinder lets you stay ready for that unforgettable moment with virtually no lag between what you see and what you get when you press the shutter. Fast and accurate Dual Pixel CMOS AF with phase-detection locks focus quickly and accurately to help make sure you don’t miss a great shot. A 24.2 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor helps you capture special moments from vacations to family events in brilliant color, detail and vibrancy for beautifully memorable photos and videos. With a maximum ISO of 25600, you can capture photos in low light with minimal chance of blur. Compose the photo you want and the autofocus will quickly lock on. With virtually no lag between what you see and the image you get when you press the shutter, you can get the shot you want, when you want.

Thanks to the T7i’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF which helps deliver the world’s fastest autofocusing speed at 0.03 sec. Equipped with phase-detection, it quickly and accurately determines an object distance and where to focus, and offers fast, smooth and precise autofocus that stays locked onto your subject, even in motion, for both photos and videos. Dual Pixel CMOS AF helps ensure your results are sharp, keeps the time it takes to lock focus onto your subject to a minimum and smoothly maintains focus where you want it.

Feature Assistant

The EOS Rebel T7i camera features a convenient new user interface called Feature Assistant. Both simple and advanced camera features are explained with easy-to-understand graphics and descriptions, letting you explore how different camera settings affect the image. Learn how shutter speed can “pause” fast motion, for example, or how aperture priority can help give you a smooth, artistically-blurred background. To suit your shooting style, a simple tap on the screen can switch between Feature Assistant, shooting mode or Canon’s traditional User Interface (UI).

Movie Electronic IS

A shaky video can make even the best content hard to watch. The EOS Rebel T7i camera features Movie Electronic IS^^^ to help minimize the blurring effect of camera shake. When enabled and used with a compatible Canon lens, Movie Electronic IS adds 5-axis stabilization in the horizontal, vertical and rotational planes. The result? Smooth Full HD movies for your friends and family to enjoy.

HDR Movie & Time-Lapse Movie

HDR photos can capture dynamic scenes that have vibrant, natural color with bright details. HDR Movie Mode helps you do the same with videos, with less blown-out highlights and more rich and colorful movies. A video of a sunset, for example, could have the sun and colorful sky, along with the shadowy landscape below, all with color and detail throughout the frame.

For even more creative options, Time-Lapse Movie mode condenses long stretches of time into shorter videos (minimum settable shutter speed of 1/25). Watch how traffic varies at an intersection over the course of rush hour, or how the moon moves across the sky at night.
