I purchased this printer via amazon and received it quick enough. However, I couldn't register it as a USA resident because your website wouldn't accept my serial number. That's number one. Number two: I set it up so that I could print both wirelessly as well as remotely from my phone. Whenever I try to scan a document on the printer and request to have it sent to my email, I ALWAYS lose my wireless connection and constantly have to re-connect it. It never re-connects initially and I ALWAYS have to try it several times even having to go so far as to reset the printer to factory settings. I need a printer so that's the reason I haven't sent it back, plus as I do not have the funds to get a better quality printer, I'm stuck with this one. I'm really disappointed. My last Pixma multi-function printer lasted me more than ten years. That's why I went back to Canon for another Pixma.

A good basic printer with quality printing. Downside is no duplex printing setting, however, can be done manually. Recommend for every day printing needs.

This is usually a good machine, but when something doesn't work, I find it a royal pain to try to figure out what is wrong. That is the current situation. I tried over the weekend to quickly print a card, not successful, and now I can't get it to print at all. I just waited through a long Mac update, thinking when it was done I could go into settings and change to letter rather than 5X7. It is set on letter, but I can't get it to work and I'm giving up for the day! We have had it quite awhile, but I just bought a bunch of ink, so don't want it to quit yet! I may buy another, but I would not recommend for the average person that is not a tech kind of person. It takes patience at times, more than other printers I've had. That said, when it works well, I like it.

Hi Just received this printer today. I found the set-up instructions to be pretty clear. They started with a written folder and then directed me to a canon site. Strangely enough the hardest thing for me was to plug in the USB plug. The port was very recessed in the printer. It took me many tries before I finally got it plugged in. I don't think it needed to be that hard. I haven't tried printing out a photo yet. I hope it will be as good as my old Canon printer.

like this printer, however it has one flaw that drives me crazy. When printing something, the paper goes out of the case tte and the curls around a roller and comes out the bottom. I then get a jammed paper notice. I remove the casettes, turn the printer over and remove the piece of papere that is coming out the bottom of the printer, don't know how to fix it.

Easy setup I had it unpacked and had run a few copies by 5:00 . I really liked the salesperson I spoke with yesterday. SHe took her time and I feel got us the best printer for our needs. We have owned many Canon printers, time will tell on this one. But my first impression is great printer at a great price . Yes I would recommend this printer.

I went to various stores looking for a PGBK ink cartridge. None of the clerks could help. They suggested the Canon reference book, there was NO MENTION of a TS5020 printer. How is one supposed to buy replacement ink without going thru the Canon on line shopping ???

Let me first say that I have been a lifetime customer of HP printers and thought that no other printer could compare. I was wrong. It was easy to set up and get to printing. Its smaller and a little more convenient and its quick. However there is always good with bad. I would have preferred to have the paper load from the front VS. the back of the printer. This for me was inconvenient.

I received a free sample in return for writing a review, so I wasn't totally sure what I would be getting. I was pleasantly surprised with this printer. The print quality is very good, although the speed could be a little better when it comes to pictures. I can't really speak to photo printing because I don't really use my home printer for that. I mostly use the printer for school, printing long articles. For that the speed is just fine, and it's very reliable. In the past I've had printers that take several tries before they recognize a job in the queue, but this one seems to start up right away. It was also very easy to set up and get the ink cartridges installed. The scan feature is incredibly easy to use. The scanning process is a lot faster than any other printer I've had. I also like that the printer can connect via wifi to print from my phone. Lastly, it doesn't make a bunch of noise all the time. My last printer would have some sort of reset around 1 AM sometimes, but this one has been pretty quiet which is honestly a really nice change. Issues: I don't like having to manually flip pages for duplex printing. I print double-sided all the time, and this means I can't just leave things printing and come back. However there is a dialogue that comes up showing exactly how to flip the stack of pages, so there is no confusion there which I do appreciate. The display is not a touch screen and the whole panel needs to be flipped up for the printer to work. I've found, though, that as long as it's tilted up at at least a 45 degree angle away from the opening printing will still work. Overall, I would definitely recommend this printer based on my usage so far. The biggest problem is the manual flipping for duplex printing, but that's really just an inconvenience. The best part is how easy it is to scan and copy using the Canon quick menu. It's also a nice little printer, but just as functional as some bigger ones. Taking up less space is always nice!

I received the Pixma TS5020 Canon Printer in the mail for free in exchange to test the product and write a review. This is a great little printer/copier/scanner. It makes very sharp images and the ink cartridges are simple to install. It can be set up by itself wirelessly without a disc and it can be used from wireless devices with ease. The paper is simply uploaded through the back. Small and does not take much room.

To begin, let it be known that I received a free sample of this printer to review. Now let's start with the setup of the printer. The process was very simple, the instructions were well put together, and it took about 15 minutes to get everything firing and ready to go. During the setup of the printer you're required to mess with the scanner cover a little, and I felt that it was a bit flimsy. I'm sure it was part of the printers design to keep it small and compact, but I feel that it could easily be damaged or broken if you aren't careful. My favorite feature of this printer is the wireless capability. Coming from someone that has had to use a wired connection his whole life, this feature is extremely convenient. The printing speed isn't super fast, but it is decent. I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the printing both in color and black/white. I was expecting a lot more, and that would be one of the things I would like to see improved. The black/white prints sometimes had smudges on certain letters. The color prints weren't too sharp. The quality will be okay for me for now as I am only using this printer for school and other miscellaneous documents, nothing too professional. Overall, the printer is simple to setup and use, but the quality is lacking and for that reason I don't think I would recommend the product to a friend.

Note: I received this printer as a free sample in order to provide a neutral, non-biased review of it. I've had the pleasure of using this printer for over a week now, and I'm pretty impressed. Given the price point, I was worried it was going to be just good enough, but I've been pleasantly surprised that the opposite has been true. I'm an attorney here in the city, so I decided to test out this printer by printing out large numbers of federal statutes to see if it could cope with the high page count. Surprisingly, this printer knocked them out pretty quickly, with no visible slowdown after the initial pages were printed. As a summary, so far, the good with this printer has outweighed the bad substantially. As for the pros, the quick printing is definitely a plus. Additionally, the wifi connection between it and my laptop is quite effective and works just like the printer is still attached by cord (although this is somewhat expected now, it's still nice to see it work consistently. The ink cartridges haven't been all that quick to drain either, which has been a nice surprise. Last, the aesthetic (especially for the price) is impressive. The printer comes with the paper tray on top towards the rear of the printer, which is helpful especially when using its duplex feature (more on that in a bit). Plus, the screen that is on the front of the device is both attractive and helpful, as it allows you to actually change settings without having to load up your computer (this is something I've noticed more when I went back to my other printer which doesn't have a screen). Regarding the cons, it really just boils down to two. This is really a mild one, but, the setup isn't exactly fantastic. It does come with a disc, which is simple enough, but unfortunately my laptop doesn't have an internal disc drive, so I had to download the setup online. I could've missed it in the materials, but I never saw a link showing where to download the setup online, which would've been helpful (apologies if I missed it somewhere). Even with that though, it was pretty straightforward using Canon's site as they thankfully let you download it online. Setup took a bit of time as the printer apparently had to do some self-setup after the ink was installed. I ended up waiting a while for the printer to be ready because a message on the LCD screen kept telling me to wait while the printer completed its setup. I eventually just cancelled out of that, and the printer was working just fine, so I assume this was either a poorly written message or one that never updated. Again, not a gigantic thing, but it’s something that probably should be improved. The only other (mild) complaint I could make about this is the lack of automatic two-sided printing (duplex). Granted, at this price point, you're still getting a really good printer, so it's hard to say this should've been included (as I suspect the next tier of printer probably has it). I still find manual duplex printing clunky though, and it makes me want to avoid using this printer's duplex printing altogether. Due to the top-load paper tray though, this is easier than with most printers I've used, since you can just pull out the blank paper from the tray easily and replace it with your paper that has 1 side already printed. It's certainly a solid replacement for the automatic version, and as long as this isn't something crucial for your purchase, then you shouldn't give it another thought since the manual duplex on here is pretty solid for what it is. Overall, I can't recommend this printer enough for the price point. I hope you find this review helpful, as I've tried to include everything I've tried so far. I'm still trying to figure out how to make the mobile printing work from my phone, since a free Canon app is available, but I've yet to nail that one down.

I received this Canon printer for free to test and review for my honest opinion. Set up of this printer took between 30-40 minutes. I have been testing this product for the last 10 days. It's easy to use, the print quality really impressed me. The only thing I would change is I would make the screen a touch screen. Other than that, as my title states... I love the features of this printer! You can preview and edit right on the printer. The inks are INDIVIDUAL!! You only change what runs out!! Square photo printing and being able to link it right to your mobile device and print your pictures...awesome!!

My first impression of this printer was that it is much more compact than my old printer. It doesn`t take up very much room at all. When I first took it out of the box, I was glad to see it was packaged securely so that nothing was damaged. I`ve had issues with that when ordering online in the past. When I took everything out f the box and arranged it for setup, I was please to see how much was included. There were printer cartridges included, although I think they contain less ink than those you buy separately- like the demo batteries in kids` electronics. The instructions were incredibly easy to follow and I had no problem having it set up and ready to print within minutes. I was dismayed to see that there is one ink cartridge for each color, so 5 cartridges in total. It also appears that when one color runs out the printer will not print- although I`m not 100% sure of that since it says differently online. I`ve still got the `demo` ink in the printer and it looks by the ink levels that we have quite a bit more printing to do before that gets low. I thought that maybe the smaller size would affect the quality of the print jobs but I was wrong. I have been highly impressed with the crispness and clarity of the printing so far. I have printed on photo paper and regular letter sized paper. Both have yielded beautiful clean edges to the printing. The printer is much quieter than my HP which I am delighted about. My other printer kept me from being able to print when the kids were sleeping so that was a problem when I was in school. The screen is very clear and I love how easy it is to use- no problems yet and we`ve printed quote a few photos and documents. I`m less enthusiastic about the paper tray in the back, there isn`t much support for the paper so it tends to flop over which is annoying but hasn`t affected the printing at all. I do not like having to install an app on my phone to be able to print but I think that may be only for pictures. My documents or emails on my iPhone have been printing when I press the `print` button on my phone. I am also not pleased with how quickly it goes into hibernation mode. I like having wireless printing so I don`t have to run over to the printer and having it need to be woken up defeats that purpose. Overall, I really like this printer and see it lasting a long time. After 10 days of using, testing, and printing with the Pixma TS5020 I have come to really enjoy it's printing capabilities and convenience. At first I was hesitant due to a few contributing factors. The printer gave the appearance of being touchscreen but when I found out it wasn't it was a slightly disappointing factor. I also was a little hesitant due to the fact that I was unable to use the scanner or printer without having the cannon application. As of right now I believe this to be the case however I may be wrong. Now for the benefits. The Pixma TS5020 is a super efficient, portable, useful, and convenient. The papers that I printed came out beautifully and the colors both black and white and colored variants were crisp and clear. When using the scanning feature the pictures were clear and had great quality. My favorite feature of all was the wireless printing feature which makes needing documents from my phone quick and convenient and look just as good as if you were printing from a laptop or desktop computer. With this printer I found myself loving the benefits far more than any of the things I disliked. I believe the Pixma TS5020 Canon Printer to be an excellent printer and a great choice for anyone interested purchasing a newer printer.

This is a very good all-in-one printer that produces quality prints. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of the setup process. Connecting to the computer was quick. Connecting to my phone was even quicker. I was setup and ready to print from both my computer and my phone within 15 minutes. I like the fact that there are five separate ink cartridges. It makes it easy to change out just one of the colors as they run out. The control panel on the front is pretty basic and allows for easy operation. The color LCD monitor on the control panel is nice. Although the display is small, it can preview what you have scanned prior to printing which is a useful feature. This printer has a rear paper feeder and requires the control panel to be pulled up to allow the paper thru during printing, so the sleek printer you start out with, becomes a bit larger while in operation and can limit where it is placed. The App used to print from your phone is incredibly simple and easy to use. The flexibility to print via Wi-Fi is great with no additional cords required. There is also the ability to insert a memory card to print pictures from your camera. The documents and photos I have printed look great. The documents I have scanned are very clear and easily place on to my computer which was fantastic. I did receive this printer in exchanged for my honest review. I am impressed with the functions and quality of print from this little printer! I would definitely recommend it.

The Canon Pixma TS5020 prints nicely, though a bit slower than expected, but all printouts look good. Even my photo print of a pic I took on my cheap mobile came out looking nice. It is convenient for space saving & compact enough to take on the go, if needed. I really like that there are no pieces to attach to the printer other than the power cord. The paper tray rests in the back of the printer & just needs to be pulled up and out. The display panel lifts up & then you are ready to print. There is also a panel that you can pull out to hold printed pages as they come out, but it`s not necessary for operation if the printer is sitting on a large flat surface. Assembly is very simple since this printer is compact. You only need to unbox, attach power cord, plug it up, power it on, then insert ink cartridges as directed. The ink is the most complicated part of the assembly & I found it simple & easy. Though you should be careful removing the orange plastic covers, as you can squeeze ink out. (It states that you should remove carefully.) I would like to see this with a USB slot, touch screen & an auto 2-page print option. It`s not difficult but if you are multitasking it`s a bit annoying to have to go to the printer to flip the page & reinsert into the paper tray. I feel that the set up process could be worked on to be simplified & faster. As most print devices can easily be connected & run on Windows OS without requiring the CD for setup, but it wasn`t difficult by any means. Just a little bit more time consuming. It did take me a little bit to figure out how to use the auto on feature. I had to search through the settings and set it to on in the printer settings before I was able to use it, otherwise I just get a message saying your printer is offline. I was able to print from my tablet easily once I set it to Mopria print service for my Canon. Overall I think this is a nice affordable compact printer. I received this sample free for my honest review. These are my own observations & opinions base on my experience using the Canon printer.

I recently had a chance to try the Canon Pixma TS5020. This printer comes with 5 cartridges in the standard Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, Black and PGBK inks. The instruction manual is decent but very basic. If you have a working knowledge of technology it's easy enough, but the instructions are not detailed enough for novices or people who maybe uncomfortable setting up electronics. The diagrams to demonstrate setup are not very clear. They should be in color to make setup like insertion of cartridges easier. It can be quite a confusing setup and the instructions assume basic knowledge and don't give enough details. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to put in the cartridges. I was trying to snap them into place manually before figuring out that the printer needs to be powered on to ready the setup. When I finally turned the printer on, the cartridge receptor slid open, from where it was a quick and easy insertion. The instructions don't mention this at all. The power cord is also too short to be convenient. It's only a couple of feet long so unless the printer is going to be setup next to an outlet, this will need an extension cord. After the cartridge is inserted, this printer doesn't automatically process to the next step. I tried restarting the machine, but the cartridges don't automatically reset either. At this point, the printer asks you to scan the QR code. It's not a huge deal, but a minor nuisance is still a setback. It needs that you go to the Google Play store and download the free QR code reader app. The setup took about an hour from beginning to end. Compare that to the 15 minutes it took me to setup my previous printer, and I would be likely to return this one and go for my tried and tested model. The printer runs a pretty standard operation. Paper was easy to load and printing took about the same amount of time as other printers. It stalled once and I got an error message asking to check for certain things like jammed paper or clicked cartridge. I did and proceeded, but bear in mind that every time you reboot the printer, operation panels will have to be manually open or it will not proceed. This printer doesn't have a touchscreen for those who prefer it. The actual copies were decent. The color was crisp and true with no bleeding. I don't print photographs but since it includes PGBK and Black ink, I assume it defaults automatically to use the richer black ink for photos. My work also doesn't require printing large stacks of paper, so I can't comment on its speed for larger projects. Overall, I would recommend this product to friends with minor reservations. The setup was somewhat difficult but overall the printer functions decently and met my expectations. It seems to be a good enough printer for a home office. I received the Canon Pixma TS5020 for free in exchange for my open and honest review. This doesn't change my review criterion which a pretty stringent. A product has to deliver on every last thing it promises for me to give it a truly glowing review and I make sure I mention any flaws I come across so a potential buyer is well informed before making a purchase.

First off i must let it be known that i received this printer for free to review but after using this canon for a week now I can say I would definitely purchase. Setup was pretty easy for me I chose the route of putting in the software cd and used a usb connection hooked up to my desktop. It does have the option of being completely wireless if you want to use that feature I chose not to. Once i got everything hooked up the printer immediately did a test print and the colors was bright and noticeable. The only thing i did not care for is that you have to raise the face of the printer in order for your print job to complete. Overall it looks nice and sleek in a color black and the home screen is very easy to follow with instructions if you are not very computery savvy. I haven't had any issues so far with the printer but I would definitely recommend it as far as doing basic or heavy duty print jobs. The options to print from your phone or insert a memory card just makes this all in one printer that much better.

I got the printer almost two weeks ago in exchange for this review and so far I do love it! Upon opening the box I realized just how compact the printer is especially in comparison to the printer which I purchased 2 years ago. The setup was fairly easy. The printer does included a cd/dvd, however my laptop computer which I predominately use doesn`t have have a cd drive....sooooo the website setup comes in very handy. I want to say it took approximately 5-10 minutes to complete everything. Next on to the actual printing! I had some documents to print out and 20 pages were done in about 30 seconds or less! Nice! The resolution of the few pictures have been pretty decent, although I haven`t needed to print anything really complicated so only time will tell. The noise of the printer is not too loud just average. The printer is also equipped with the wireless feature. I can printer from both my computer and even on my phone as long as the devices are on my wifi network. The only real drawback is the lack of USB outlet. My other printer had one where I can scan documents and save it to a thumb drive very easily. This printer has a memory card drive which is great if you are solely using it for printing pictures, otherwise it seems a bit antiquated. Overall its a great printer considering the features, efficiency and of course price point!

Very easy to set up/network, pretty compact, prints well and scans well. I love that the front area with the screen/menu buttons flips up so you can look at it/use it from above, and that there are 2 black ink cartridges in addition to the individual colors, since that always runs out first. Also really appreciate the print-from-phone capability with the Canon app, but haven't figured out how to/if I can resize - anything sent prints at 8.5x11. Overall a great little printer.

This was my first experience with a wireless printer and I have to say I'm impressed. Set up was quick and simple. While the printer calibrated I downloaded the Canon app to my iPhone. All in all I think the process took about 15 minutes. The machine is compact and can be stored just about anywhere. Not having the extra chords around makes it look very sleek! Installing the ink cartridges was fool proof with a red light to insure that you inserted them correctly. The only draw back is it seems to go through ink pretty quickly. The machine also has scanning capabilities which is a nice perk! I received the Pixma TS5020 Canon Printer for free in exchange for this review.

I love this printer.... I did receive a free printer for evaluation but was in the market to replace my home office printer. I really like the ability to print from your phone or a memory card from your camera. It was easy to set up and I was printing pictures within about 20 minutes. Great quality, vibrant color and clarity. Very easy to use and prints quietly. I am replacing an older model Canon printer and was very impressed with the performance. I would definitely recommend this model for all your printing needs. I am very happy with the PIXMA and well definitely be putting it to good use in the future.

After using this printer now for a week, I can say it is very handy to have around. It is a compact printer, scanner, and copier in one! I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review and I could not be happier with it. The install was a breeze thanks to having printed directions, online vides, and a disk. I also like that the ink cartridges are easy to install correctly thanks to a dummy proof “red light” that lets you know it is in correct. The touch screen display is easy to use and easy to work with and I love that you can move it up and down for storage. Can I tell you how much I love that it is wireless? Not having to use a USB port for a printer is fantastic. I had a challenge printing the first time, but I have found as long as I stick to the basic commands through windows it works. I think my computer was trying to help more than I needed it to. The colors on this printer are quite nice and the printing time is fast. I will use it often for family needs. The only downfall I have found so far is having 5 cartridges, that seems like a lot to replace, but I guess time will tell how fast they run out.

I love that it doesnt take up too much space on my desk and that I can print something directly from my phone. When I scanned documents they came out exactly the same not illegible like most of the printers I have tried. My mom wanted to print some pictures for her scrapbook and she told me that the colors and quality were really good. Although the printer is a bit slow I don't really mind because of the quality that comes out of it. I would definitely recommend this for a college student like me or someone that likes making scrap books.

I recently received my free sample Pixma TS5020 Canon Printer and I absolutely love it. This product included step by step set up instructions which were very easy to follow. I had my new printer up and running in about 15 minutes. My absolute favorite feature on this printer is the ability to print pictures. I added the canon print app to my phone and used the sample photo sheets that were included to print a few pictures. The photos printed quickly and we're beautiful. I also printed a few documents right from my phone, I couldn't believe how simple it was. I recently purchased a Canon camera and I'm so excited to pair these two products together. This printer is definitely worth checking out. I'm extremely happy with this product.
