Bought this about a year ago and it is terrible. Simply won't print and has been checked out by someone who does it for a living.

I purchased the PXIMA TS5120 printer to replace my MG6120, which had lasted over 5 years! It was great product life for a printer so I decided to be loyal to Canon again. As advertised, the TS5120 worked great for about half a year until we started getting communication issues between various PC's and the printer. Recently the device stopped operating when support code 5100 appears. I followed all the directions online to resolve the issue but it comes right back after 1 or 2 print jobs. Now, I am unable to clear the error message at all, and it is frustrating. I've had it with this printer! This model is a disappointment, and even if it's less than a year old, it belongs in the dumpster. I need a new printer, but with this experience, I'm not sure if I should go with Canon or a different brand. This is the worst printer I have ever owned.

set-up has more steps than the great wall of china. NO MULTI-PAGE FEED FOR SCANNING? Are you kidding me? I wish i hadn't bought it.

the setup instruction are worthless, its obvious that no one from canon ever read them or tried to follow the instruction on how to set up the printer. i tried calling tech support but had a wait time of over 30 minutes. no matter how good the printer is if you can not set it up its worthless.

Set-up on multiple computers, Android phones and an IPad was very easy. Like the fact you can make almost unlimited adjustments as to how the printer operates (sleep mode, start from off mode, which tray to pick paper from etc). Print quality has been very good, printer is quiet.

This Canon PIXMA TS5120 was purchased to be used at our cabin in the Sierras. I needed it to work on WiFi so I can print reference photos to use with watercolor painting. The directions with it made it easy to connect and and load with paper. I did struggle somewhat with trying to match my paper size with the options for the rear paper try. I eventually (trial and error got it figured out. I like that there are only 2 ink cartridges; on for color and one for black. I just wonder how long they will last.

This printer has not worked properly since the first day. Its cheap and not worthy of the Canon brand.

My previous Canon worked great for eight years until the paper feed stopped working, so I thought a comparable Canon would be a good replacement. The new Canon printer has given me nothing but problems. It won't hook up wirelessly to my phone or laptop, sometimes it won't turn on and now my wired connection isn't working. Would not recommend.

I have always been really happy with Canon, a return customer for my office and home. When my last printer/scanner (which I loved was no longer supported by Canon software, I went with the purchase suggested by Canon customer service. This has given me constant hassle. It is not broken, just poorly designed in my opinion. I have had to call Canon several times and they are readily available and helpful during the work week. Since I have time to catch up with work on the weekend, I am often incapacitated because the customer service is not available and the device keeps having new reasons it won't work, which I cannot diagnose myself and then have to wait until Monday to print anything. I would have paid more money for a better printer and I wish that was recommended (if the more expensive machines are any better). Even when it works, I don't like 1.How long it takes to warm up and also to print. Everything is slow slow slow. If I need something quickly for a meeting, forget about it. Often it suddenly doesn't work anymore (as mentioned above) but if it does, it takes a long time anyway. 2. the displays and how they function are counter-intuitive. I have had to call customer service to understand them or to get me out of a loop. I almost never post reviews, but I am thoroughly amazed by how high the ratings are on this product. I would not recommend it to anyone and I am very close to throwing it away (e-cycle). In my opinion, Canon should be ashamed of putting their name on this product. I thought I could count on them because I always had such good products from them before. I still like the customer service people and find them helpful (except the one who recommended this machine to me)

Moving the control buttons from the top of the printer (MG6220) to the front (with tilt) panel is a great improvement. Once I navigated to the WPS button instructions to connect the router, it was only easy to complete the installation, test print, and register the product.

The set-up was tedious and the printer frustratingly slow when trying to scan and cancel print jobs.

I bought the printer almost three weeks ago I barley got it . Mail carrer was very unprofessional, the box came tore up . Then To find out it doesn’t have the ink jets as stated on box I bought one today but I guess both have to be in to work . I’ll update once I actually get it working .

Nice size printer Has a compartment for paper storage and a separate loading section for photo paper Display screen * My old pixma 452 from canon was easy to set up .. but this one was a challenge but got it set up .. I was short on time so it took 2 days to get the TS5120 set up to wifi Standard 2 ink cartridges .. a little less in size but suitable for light printing *** WPS *** some wifi connections may or just might require manual setup If router does not have WPS/Direct connect the printer will connect depending on configuration . this printer can be connected to a wifi gateway ... we just did ours manually Drivers software must be installed pc/laptop to connect

I bought this printer to replace my MX 479, which lasted many years. My new Pixma TS 5120 was a outstanding purchase and a great price. It took very little time to make it operational. I use it for personal use only and my sons school work. I have absolutely no problems with it. I am getting ready to buy one for my son for Christmas because he loves it also.

Poorly designed, open front cover allows dirt, dust, anything into the interior of the printer and paper trays. Each day is a new problem, paper trays selected by printer when not desired. Hardwired, but printer doesn't see computer. Unreliable.Cheapyly built and poorly designed.

I picked up one of these back in January and printed about 4000 pages until it died in late July. I'm writing this review because it is pretty rare that after a printer prints itself to death that I would get another one, but this one is a good value and positioned in an extremely good spot. Features I'm happy with: Mobile printing and scanning is spot on, you can work with the front panel wearing gloves (it's not touch, you can print extremely thick card stock out of the back feed (e.g. Red River Polar Magma Matte) without issues, and although slightly slower than it's other integrated-printhead competitor (7155), it's fast. It also has two real paper trays, rather than a small 5x7 photo trays. Duplex print is also excellent, as is printer size. Features I miss: you can't put a sheet on the scanning bed and press 'black' to get it to make a black copy, you _have_ to navigate to the copy menu. Linux print driver won't let you set the rear tray as paper input.

I bought this printer about month ago. Printing wireless. Works great so far. I like it better than the Epson printer I was using before the Canon.

I received this printer in exchange for my honest review. I`ve had a wireless printer once in the past (I still use it via USB cable to print for work) and the wireless function just never seemed to work right. The set up was very quick and easy, and I had no issues connecting and printing wirelessly for the last couple weeks. I also like that this has a black cartridge and a multi-color one - my old printer had 4 separate cartridges. Photos printed out in great quality as well as documents I needed for work. I did not find anything that I would change - I really like the product and will continue to use. Easy set and easy use makes me happy!

I was sent a free PIXMA Printer for my honest review. This was my first experience with a wireless printer. I usually print from my laptop and I used to have to hook up my printer to the laptop whenever I wanted to print which was a hassle at times. With the PIXMA Printer, I can print from ANYWHERE! I am a big coupon printer, so that is important to me. I have set the printer to automatically enable power when I wish to print, so I do not even have to make sure the printer is on. You also have the ability to have it automatically shut off after a set amount of time (I have it set to turn off after 30 minutes) Wireless printing has been a real time saver! It does take a little while for the printer to turn on and warm up and print the first document, but after that the second and subsequent printings print quite quickly. The printer is very quiet compared to what I am used to. It is smooth and does not shake while printing. One odd thing that I found with this printer is that the paper is `hidden` away in a tray. I used to be able to feed partial/half pieces of paper in my old printer which saved paper when printing coupons from various sites. Now I will not be able to do this. But a positive to the hidden paper drawer is that my kids can`t access the paper and bend it or take it to draw on! Overall, I would recommend this product because of its wireless capabilities, however this is my first experience with a wireless printer so I have nothing similar to compare it to. If you are coming from a hard wired printer - definitely buy it!

I received the Canon PIXMA TS5120 BK Printer for free by mail, in exchange for my review of the product. I was happy with the overall look and modern compact style of this printer. The directions were extremely clear and easy to follow. Set up was a breeze, unlike other printers I have purchased in the past. A few mins and its ready! Ink cartridges were easy to install as well. The only delay was setting up the Wifi but, this wasn't too time consuming. I loved the bluetooth capability, being able to so conveniently print from my smart phone or tablet is a huge plus for me. I have used this printer to print out copies of my kids photos to send off to family and the resolution and crisp quality in each photo has been consistant. The only part of the printer that I am a bit concerned about is the fold out arm in the tray, it is a bit flimsy and seems like it could break easily. I currently own and use a laser printer but, am equally as happy with this printer and will continue to use regularly.

I received this printer for free in exchange for a review. I used it for over a week to print various work projects. I was a little sceptical at first as I generally use a laser printer but I was extremely impressed by the capability of this compact printer. Out of the box it took me about 5 mins to set it up, then I downloaded the app for my phone and set up the software for my PC within minutes. I found connecting to both was simple and pain free. Once set up was complete I tried printing from my phone and was amazed at how quick and easy it was to do so compared to my current printer. Once the 15 page color pamphlet was printed I was super impressed with the quality and the amount of ink that was still available. Throughout the week I continued to use it to print work documents much like the first and it never failed to disappoint. It took the printer a little longer than I’m used to or would like to wait but it was able to produce quality documents nonetheless. I also like that it is a fairly quiet printer and it is very compact; it fits well in my small home office and doesn’t wake up my 9 month baby when he’s napping. Overall it’s great and I will be using it for all the projects that I need to print quickly from my phone.
