About Canon WFT-E1A Wireless File Transmitter f/Dig SLR Cam
• This new accessory the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E1/WFT-E1A is an 802.11b/g wireless & wired Ethernet transmission device that allows photographers to transmit images from their cameras directly to a computer over a local area network (LAN).
It is designed to send pictures using the FTP protocol from a compatible Canon camera. The WFT-E1 transmitter includes a mini antenna, a long and short IEE1394 cable, case & camera mounting screw.
Given the tremendous popularity of LAN-based image transmission systems as well as the demands for higher speed image distribution in the reporting fields, Canon developed this new accessory allowing photographers to transmit images from their cameras directly to a computer over a wired or wireless local area network(LAN).
The WFT-E1A is compatible with the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, EOS-1D Mark II, EOS-1D Mark II N, EOS 5D & EOS 20Da. It is compatible with the EOS-20D (camera requires firmware upgrade).
