I am basically an underwater photographer and have used a SLR and now a DSLR for years. I bought the G9 for a Grand Canyon rafting trip and I wanted a lightweight housing to be able to use the camera during whitewater runs and on side canyon hikes where wet crossings or swimming would be possible. The housing worked flawlessly in GC and again on our last dive trip. The intention was for my wife to use it on dive trips while I used my DSLR, but I ended up using it a couple days and was very impressed with it's full funtionability. As mentioned before, you do have access to shutter and aperature settings if you read the manual. I only wish they made one this small and inexpensive for DSLR's.

Great housing! Note for those who can't read: When the camera is in the housing the use of the G9's rotating wheel is disabled however you can still choose the same options by pushing the print button on the top left hand corner together with the left and right buttons by the wheel.

I just used this housing for diving in the BVI. It was the easiest to use housing I have ever used. Took great photos. Contrary to what the above poster and many others have said, it is very easy to change the f-stop and shutter speed while in the housing. You just have to read the manual a little bit. Don't blame Canon if you can't read. Works very well with Ikelite DS125 flash and manual controller.

IT DOESN'T WORK WITH DIALED FUNCTIONS, YOU CAN NOT INCREASE OR DEACRESE DE EXPOSURE, OR THE SHUTTER SPEED.... VERY VERY BAD FOR CANON.
