This is really great way to play all your music.RYAN G : The adapter connects directly into the USB port on your PCMICHAEL H : A cable is not required. The micro SD card reader simply plugs into any available USB port on your PC. Your micro SD card inserts into the back of the card reader and then you plug the device into an available USB port that is preferably located on the front of your PC. If you do not have a convenient USB port on the front of your computer you could get a USB hub to plug into one of the USB ports located on the back of your computer and then place the hub somewhere for convenient access and plug your card reader into the hub. But for most PC's a USB port should be available on the front of the machine and not require any cable for the Micro SD card reader.

Did what it was supposed to do, but....

Broke red thing off very easily...unusable without it. Right now, it's taped together precariously.
