Do not purchase for use where you are away from a standard Wi-Fi router. I often shoot in the field and carry a "mi-fi" device for internet access. I thought this device would allow me to upload from the camera (while shooting) to my smugmug site and my PC at the same time via the Mi-Fi's 802.11 internet port, but I was wrong. After several times of shooting in the field and getting extremely poor performance, I decided to contact support. After a couple of days they got back to me and we worked for 2 weeks to attempt to get this working. Their final answer was that it doesn't work with the cellular devices because of "relayed mode." When shooting around the house with a Wi-Fi routers at 28Mbps, it was lightning fast with the uploads...but in the field it simply wouldn't work. Eye-Fi's support indicated that I should just use my laptop while in the field to upload, which defeats the purpose of the Eye-Fi. I purchased the Eye-Fi to eliminate the need for the laptop in places other than the hotel room. Oh well, live and learn! The only other CON I had was that you MUST use their "special" USB adapter to work with the card. You cannot simply insert the card into your SD slot on the laptop and have it work right and allow you to program or access it. If you do not plan on uploading in the field away from Wi-Fi routers, then this might be the device for you. The sad part is that you have to pre-program the card with the SSID and passwords to any Wi-Fi's you're connecting to, but if you regularly use free hot-spots, then you only need to do this once and then you should be set. Keep in mind with larger photos/videos it may take longer to upload. My D7000's photos took longer than my wife's Kodak PlaySport.

Use the product with volunteer efforts at Special Needs. It allows the participants to see their picture on the computer. Also we can quickly print the image for them without having to take memory card in and out of the camera.
