solid portable backup
I got this for traveling so that when I filled up all my memory cards I could dounload them to the FlashTrax unit and continue shooting. I also use this unit to backup all my photos from my desktop HDD. With a CompactFlash to other flash media adaptor, it will read any of the other common Flash memory cards. I am very happy with the unit, especially as I have one of the 9Mpixel cameras.
