I bought this to provide additional protection for protect my D90. It's made for this camera specifically so thereare no "one size fits all" issues. It does provide some shock and moisture protection although how much is difficult to say. It is a "skin" and, as such, is a tussel to get on and off the camera. It came with no IR port so, in order to use the remote, one had to be cut out. It's good news/bad news that the skin is so tight that it interferes with lens, flash and tripod mounting. The buttons/controls are hard to see in low light and some are impossible to use with gloves. With the skin, the on/off lever is hard to operate. I realize that it's likely that any after-market protection will suffer these type problems. I had hoped this one would be the one to offer acceptable trade offs for the additional protection received but IMHO it doesn't quite get there.

I could not be happier with this purchase...this is truly an awesome product. It is very easy to install, and provides complete camera protection in a lightweight package. All control buttons are molded over, keeping out all dirt and moisture. Thick enough to provide good protection, and has a molded grip that gives excellent feel and control to the camera. It fits the Nikon D90 perfectly, as if molded on at the factory. If you own a DSLR and ever take it outdoors, this is a no-brainer. Buy it...you won't be disappointed. Highly recomended!

Brought and receive this just in time to protect my new Nikon D90 for a vacation in Italy. It allowed me to carry my camera without carrying a bag to protect my camera. Made having my camera much easier through the crowds of Rome and Florence and climbing the hills and vineyards of Tuscany. Without the bag, the camera was always ready and I took the best shots ever. Also helped with the griping of my camera with bigger lens. Never worried about bumps or slight weather. Inspected my camera daily and never had any problems. I will order for all my other camera. five stars - thumbs up - click away

Just got this before going on a trip. I figure it will help fend of the occasional bump/scratch. Overall a good fir but mine is possibly a bit loose. The major flaw is that it covers the infrared port for the wireless remote. Someone was asleep when designing/testing this. Thankfully I think a little scalpel and minor surgery and I'll be able to correct this.

This is a very nice skin for my D90. It fits nicely on the body and I received some good comments on people who asked 'why my D90 doesn't look like yours at all?'. There are two cons about this skin: one, it's a little bit challenging to put or replace the lense; two, my ML-L3 wireless remote doesn't work because the skin blocks the sensor. There should be a way to workaround it, I just haven't found the answer yet. I'd like to give 5 stars but wireless remote is a big thing for me.

Although the ad stated it wouldn't allow use of a battery grip, I simply trimmed the bottom of this skin with sharp scissors so that I could fit my Santechi LCD battery grip onto the base of my D90. It took less than 10 minutes and was time well spent. Now it fits like a glove, nothing moves, everything is wonderfully grippy without being tacky. It's silicone, so it will pick up some lint, etc. But it brushes right off. It also comes with the plastic LCD screen protector and plastic LCD screen cover, but the cover is inferior to the one that comes with the D90. I use neither as I opted to order the GGS glass LCD protector, which is far superior to the plastic LCD cover that comes with the D90. [...] Go Adorama! Also, I have the Nikon 18-200mm VRII lens. I had no trouble re-attaching the lens once the Delkin skin was on the D90. And, it fit perfectly - tight but not excessively, so that the lens can be detached and re-attached with ease. Please note folks: It is a very worthwhile investment for your expensive camera. Take time to install it correctly. They are made perfectly. Like anything else, if you take the time to do the job right the first time, then in most cases, you are not going to have to duplicate your efforts. This is a marvelous product for photographers who care enough to want to take excellent care of their expensive investment.
