Shopper : How reliable is this card?Matthew H : I use this card in my Canon DSLR 5D mark 2. My 5D only detects 14.9 gigabytes of the 16gb capacity when the card is inserted into the camera. And the available photos number display displays 999 so the card definitely maxes out the camera's memory limit. But I have had no issues with card as far as storing photos taken with my camera. I have not taken video with this card yet. But I have a smaller in capacity 8gb SanDisk compact flash card (same brand and model as the 16gb compact flash just smaller capacity) and that card is the same speed as the 16gb model, and the 8gb compact flash card records full 1080p HD just fine. But I have not tested out recording 1080p full HD video on the 16gb compact flash card yet. compatible and dependable
I have a Canon DSLR 5D Mark 2. So I needed a compact flash card that is compatible with my older camera. I recommend the SanDisk 16gb compact flash card. As of Oct 2017 I have been using this memory card for my camera. the card shipped brand new and compatible. I can film full HD on this card. This card is an upgrade for me as my previous card of which still works is a SanDisk 8gb model compact flash card. The 16gb compact flash card I bought on Adorama is great and I would recommend it to anyone as it is dependable and brand new for older cameras.

Works as Expected
Read speeds are close to 90MBps and write speeds are around 60MBps. It works well in my d200. I would highly recommend any sandisk product. I've never had any issue that their customer support couldn't handle quickly.

Watch out
I've always had good luck with sandisk products, except for this one. I've had two of these cards fail causing a loss of important photos. After reformatting they work but I am cautious and will only use these as a last resort.

Bought this for my wife's used 5D Mark II, price is affordable although the size is not huge but it works perfect for hobby-shooting and if you're not taking a lot of bursts. Great buy!

Sometimes a memory card is only a memory card
...And that's what this is. It works flawlessly, fast enough for my shooting needs, never corrupted the data on it (so far) and it's fairly priced. And that's all I require from a memory card. So buy it, if you need it.

I have yet to be let down by a SanDisk card
One should never tempt fate, but after using SanDisk cards for over 11 years, I have yet to be let down by a SanDisk card. Luck, perhaps, but by buying from authorized and reputable dealers like ADORAMA and by careful use and not misuse of the cards, I can confidently claim you won't go wrong with SanDisk brand. Store your cards appropriately, format the cards before use, avoid 'filling' the cards completely, and don't continue to erase images, then re record back over them. Good luck and always keep a spare card handy, and routinely back up your work.

When raw shooting and speed is not really needed.
